Psalm 91:1-2

Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God

91 He (A)who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide (B)under the shadow of the Almighty.
(C)I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Psalm 91:9-16

Because you have made the Lord, who is (A)my refuge,
Even the Most High, (B)your dwelling place,
10 (C)No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 (D)For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall [a]bear you up,
(E)Lest you [b]dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will [c]set him on high, because he has (F)known My name.
15 He shall (G)call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be (H)with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With [d]long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Everything Has Its Time

To everything there is a season,
A (A)time for every purpose under heaven:

A time [a]to be born,
And (B)a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
A time to (C)weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
(D)A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
(E)A time to keep silence,
And a time to (F)speak;
A time to love,
And a time to (G)hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.

John 12:27-36

Jesus Predicts His Death on the Cross

27 (A)“Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? (B)But for this purpose I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify Your name.”

(C)Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.”

29 Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.”

30 Jesus answered and said, (D)“This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake. 31 Now is the judgment of this world; now (E)the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32 And I, (F)if I am [a]lifted up from the earth, will draw (G)all peoples to Myself.” 33 (H)This He said, signifying by what death He would die.

34 The people answered Him, (I)“We have heard from the law that the Christ remains forever; and how can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

35 Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer (J)the light is with you. (K)Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; (L)he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. 36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become (M)sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and (N)was hidden from them.
