Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
Yahweh’s Anger Towards Job’s Friends
7 Now it happened after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job, that Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My anger burns against you and against your two friends because you have not spoken of Me what is right (A)as My servant Job has. 8 So now, take for yourselves (B)seven bulls and seven rams, and go to My servant Job, and offer up a (C)burnt offering for yourselves, and My servant Job will (D)pray for you. (E)For I will [a]accept him so that I may not do with you according to your folly, because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.” 9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as Yahweh told them; and Yahweh [b]accepted Job.
22 And they *came to (A)Bethsaida. And they *brought a blind man to Jesus and *pleaded with Him to (B)touch him. 23 And taking the blind man by the hand, He (C)brought him out of the village; and after (D)spitting on his eyes and (E)laying His hands on him, He was asking him, “Do you see anything?” 24 And he [a]looked up and was saying, “I see men, for [b]I see them like trees, walking around.” 25 Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly. 26 And He sent him to his home, saying, “Do not even enter (F)the village.”
