^17 (A)And Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech and his wife and his maidservants, so that they bore children.

¹⁶ Therefore, ^(A)confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be ^(B)healed. ^(C)The effective ^[a]prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

¹⁶ If anyone sees his brother ^[a]committing a sin not leading to death, ^(A)he shall ask and ^[b]God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. ^(B)There is a sin leading to death; ^(C)I do not say that he should make request for this.
