Psalm 37:12-22

Zayin

12 The wicked (A)schemes against the righteous
And (B)gnashes at him with his teeth.
13 The Lord (C)laughs at him,
For He sees that (D)his day is coming.

Heth

14 The wicked have drawn the sword and (E)bent their bow
To cast down the (F)afflicted and the needy,
To (G)slay those who are upright in conduct.
15 Their sword will enter their own heart,
And their (H)bows will be broken.

Teth

16 (I)Better is the little of the righteous
Than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the (J)arms of the wicked will be broken,
But Yahweh (K)sustains the righteous.

Yodh

18 Yahweh (L)knows the days of the [a]blameless,
And their (M)inheritance will be forever.
19 They will not be ashamed in the time of evil,
And (N)in the days of famine they will be satisfied.

Kaph

20 But the (O)wicked will perish;
And the enemies of Yahweh will be like the [b]glory of the pastures,
They vanish—(P)in smoke they vanish away.

Lamedh

21 The wicked borrows and does not pay back,
But the righteous (Q)is gracious and gives.
22 For (R)those blessed by Him will (S)inherit the land,
But those (T)cursed by Him will be cut off.

2 Chronicles 9:29-31

The Death of Solomon

29 (A)Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, from first to last, (B)are they not written in the [a]chronicles of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of [b]Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat? 30 (C)Thus Solomon reigned forty years in Jerusalem over all Israel. 31 And Solomon slept with his fathers and was buried in (D)the city of his father David; and his son Rehoboam became king in his place.

Mark 6:35-44

35 And when it was already quite late, His disciples came to Him and began saying, “[a]This place is desolate and it is already quite late; 36 send them away so that they may go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves [b]something to eat.” 37 But He answered and said to them, “You give them something to eat!” (A)And they *said to Him, “Shall we go and spend two hundred [c](B)denarii on bread and give them something to eat?” 38 And He *said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go look!” And when they found out, they *said, “Five, and two fish.” 39 And He commanded them all to [d]sit down by [e]groups on the green grass. 40 And they [f]sat down in groups of hundreds and of fifties. 41 And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He (C)blessed the food and broke the loaves. And He kept giving them to the disciples to set before them, and He divided up the two fish among them all. 42 And they all ate and were satisfied, 43 and they picked up twelve full (D)baskets of the broken pieces, and also of the fish. 44 And there were (E)five thousand men who ate the loaves.
