I Love the Lord

116 I (A)love the Lord, because he has (B)heard
    my voice and my pleas for mercy.
2 Because he (C)inclined his ear to me,
    therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
3 (D)The snares of death encompassed me;
    the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me;
    I suffered distress and anguish.
4 Then (E)I called on the name of the Lord:
    “O Lord, I pray, deliver my soul!”

Psalm 116:12-19

12 What shall I (A)render to the Lord
    for all his benefits to me?
13 I will lift up (B)the cup of salvation
    and (C)call on the name of the Lord,
14 I will (D)pay my vows to the Lord
    in the presence of all his people.

15 (E)Precious in the sight of the Lord
    is the death of his (F)saints.
16 O Lord, I am your (G)servant;
    I am your servant, (H)the son of your maidservant.
    You have (I)loosed my bonds.
17 I will (J)offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving
    and (K)call on the name of the Lord.
18 I will (L)pay my vows to the Lord
    in the presence of all his people,
19 in (M)the courts of the house of the Lord,
    in your midst, O Jerusalem.

Isaiah 26:1-4

You Keep Him in Perfect Peace

26 In that day (A)this song will be sung in the land of Judah:

“We have a strong city;
    he sets up (B)salvation
    as walls and bulwarks.
2 (C)Open the gates,
    that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in.
3 (D)You keep him in perfect peace
    whose mind is stayed on you,
    because he trusts in you.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
    for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.

1 Peter 1:13-16

Called to Be Holy

13 Therefore, (A)preparing your minds for action,[a] and (B)being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, (C)do not be conformed to the passions (D)of your former ignorance, 15 but (E)as he who called you is holy, you also be holy (F)in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, (G)“You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
