Jezikris, Pawòl etènèl Bondye a
1 Anvan tout bagay te kòmanse,
Pawòl[a] la te la.
Li te avèk Bondye
epi Pawòl la se te Bondye menm.
2 Li te avèk Bondye
nan kòmansman.
3 Se ak li menm tout bagay te kreye;
pa te gen anyen ki te kreye san li.
4 Se nan limenm lavi te ye,
epi lavi sa a se te limyè pou tout moun sou latè.
5 Limyè[b] a klere nan fènwa,
men fòs fènwa pa kapab gen viktwa[c] sou li.
6 Te gen yon nonm Bondye te voye, li te rele Jan. 7 Li te vin temwanye pou fè moun konnen kilès ki Limyè a. Konsa tout moun ta rive kwè nan li. 8 Se pa Jan ki te limyè a. Men, li te vini pou fè moun konnen kilès ki limyè a. 9 Vrè limyè a, parèt li parèt nan mond lan, li klere tout moun.
