Version
Psalm 84

Longing for the Temple Worship.

For the choir director; [a]on the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

84 How lovely are Your (A)dwelling places,
O Lord of hosts!
My (B)soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the (C)living God.
The bird also has found a house,
And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young,
Even Your (D)altars, O Lord of hosts,
(E)My King and my God.
How (F)blessed are those who dwell in Your house!
They are (G)ever praising You. [b]Selah.

How blessed is the man whose (H)strength is in You,
In [c]whose heart are the (I)highways to Zion!
Passing through the valley of [d]Baca they make it a [e]spring;
The (J)early rain also covers it with blessings.
They (K)go from strength to strength,
[f]Every one of them (L)appears before God in Zion.

O (M)Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer;
Give ear, O (N)God of Jacob! Selah.
Behold our (O)shield, O God,
And look upon the face of (P)Your anointed.
10 For (Q)a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is (R)a sun and (S)shield;
The Lord gives grace and (T)glory;
(U)No good thing does He withhold [g]from those who walk [h]uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts,
How (V)blessed is the man who trusts in You!

1 Kings 4:29-34

29 Now (A)God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of [a]mind, (B)like the sand that is on the seashore. 30 Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all (C)the sons of the east and (D)all the wisdom of Egypt. 31 For (E)he was wiser than all men, than (F)Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, (G)Calcol and [b]Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his [c]fame was known in all the surrounding nations. 32 (H)He also spoke 3,000 proverbs, and his songs were 1,005. 33 He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that grows on the wall; he spoke also of animals and birds and creeping things and fish. 34 [d]Men (I)came from all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.

Romans 13:11-14

11 Do this, knowing the time, that it is (A)already the hour for you to (B)awaken from sleep; for now [a]salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. 12 (C)The night is almost gone, and (D)the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside (E)the deeds of darkness and put on (F)the armor of light. 13 Let us [b](G)behave properly as in the day, (H)not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. 14 But (I)put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh (J)in regard to its lusts.
