106 Give glory to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

² Let them say so that have been redeemed by the Lord, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy: and gathered out of the countries.

³ From the rising and the setting of the sun, from the north and from the sea.

⁴ They wandered in a wilderness, in a place without water: they found not the way of a city for their habitation.

⁵ They were hungry and thirsty: their soul fainted in them.

⁶ And they cried to the Lord in their tribulation: and he delivered them out of their distresses.

¹⁹ And they cried to the Lord in their affliction: and he delivered them out of their distresses.

²⁰ He sent his word, and healed them: and delivered them from their destructions.

²¹ Let the mercies of the Lord give glory to him: and his wonderful works to the children of men.

²² And let them sacrifice the sacrifice of praise: and declare his works with joy.

²³ They that go down to the sea in ships, doing business in the great waters:

24 And he said to Moses: Come up to the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abiu, and seventy of the ancients of Israel, and you shall adore afar off.

² And Moses alone shall come up to the Lord, but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people come up with him.

³ So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice: We will do all the words of the Lord, which he hath spoken.

⁴ And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord: and rising in the morning he built an altar at the foot of the mount, and twelve titles according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁵ And he sent young men of the children of Israel, and they offered holocausts, and sacrificed pacific victims of calves to the Lord.

⁶ Then Moses took half of the blood, and put it into bowls: and the rest he poured upon the altar.

⁷ And taking the book of the covenant, he read it in the hearing of the people: and they said: All things that the Lord hath spoken we will do, we will be obedient.

⁸ And he took the blood and sprinkled it upon the people, and he said: This is the blood of the covenant which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words.

5 The ancients therefore that are among you, I beseech, who am myself also an ancient, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ: as also a partaker of that glory which is to be revealed in time to come:

² Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking care of it, not by constraint, but willingly, according to God: not for filthy lucre's sake, but voluntarily:

³ Neither as lording it over the clergy, but being made a pattern of the flock from the heart.

⁴ And when the prince of pastors shall appear, you shall receive a never fading crown of glory.

⁵ In like manner, ye young men, be subject to the ancients. And do you all insinuate humility one to another, for God resisteth the proud, but to the humble he giveth grace.

¹² By Sylvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I think, I have written briefly: beseeching and testifying that this is the true grace of God, wherein you stand.

¹³ The church that is in Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you: and so doth my son Mark.

¹⁴ Salute one another with a holy kiss. Grace be to all you, who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
