Psalm 72:1-7

72 1 He prayeth for the prosperous estate of the kingdom of Solomon, who was the figure of Christ, 4 under whom shall be righteousness, peace, and felicity. 10 Unto whom all Kings and nations shall do homage, 17 Whose name and power shall endure forever, and in whom all nations shall be blessed.

A Psalm [a]of Solomon.

Give thy [b]judgments to the King, O God, and thy righteousness to the King’s [c]son.

Then shall he judge thy people in righteousness, and thy poor with equity.

The [d]mountains, and the hills shall bring peace to the people by justice.

He shall [e]judge the poor of the people: he shall save the children of the needy, and shall subdue the oppressor.

They shall [f]fear thee as long as the sun and moon endureth, from generation to generation.

He shall come [g]down like the rain upon the mown grass, and as the showers that water the earth.

In his days shall the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace shall be so long as the moon endureth.

Psalm 72:18-19

18 Blessed be the Lord God, even the God of Israel which only doeth [a]wondrous things.

19 And blessed be his glorious Name forever: and let all the earth be filled with his glory. So be it, even so be it.

Isaiah 30:19-26

19 Surely a people shall dwell in Zion, and in Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will certainly have mercy upon thee at the voice of thy cry: when he heareth thee, he will answer thee.

20 And when the Lord hath given you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, thy rain shall be no more kept back, but thine eyes shall see thy [a]rain.

21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, [b]walk ye in it, when thou turnest to the right hand, and when thou turnest to the left.

22 And ye shall [c]pollute the covering of the images of silver, and the rich ornament of thine images of gold, and cast them away as a menstruous cloth, and thou shalt say unto it, [d]Get thee hence.

23 Then shall he give rain unto thy seed, when thou shalt sow the ground, and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and as oil: in that day shall thy cattle be fed in large pastures.

24 The oxen also and the young asses, that till the ground, shall eat clean provender, which is winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.

25 And upon every high [e]mountain, and upon every high hill shall there be rivers, and streams of waters, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers shall fall.

26 Moreover, the light of the Moon shall be as the light of the [f]Sun, and the light of the Sun shall be sevenfold, and like the light of seven days in the day that the Lord shall bind up the breach of his people, and heal the stroke of their wound.

Acts 13:16-25

16 [a]Then Paul stood up and beckoned with the hand, and said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, hearken.

17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and [b]exalted the people when they dwelt in the land of (A)Egypt, and with an (B)[c]high arm brought them out thereof.

18 And about the time (C)of forty years, suffered he their manners in the wilderness.

19 And he destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, and (D)divided their land to them by lot.

20 Then afterward he gave unto them (E)Judges about [d]four hundred and fifty years, unto the time of Samuel the Prophet.

21 So after that, they desired a (F)King, and God gave unto them (G)Saul, the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of [e]forty years.

22 And after he had taken him away, he raised up (H)David to be their King, of whom he witnessed, saying, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which will do all things that I will.

23 [f]Of this man’s seed hath God (I)according to his promise raised up to Israel, the Savior Jesus:

24 When (J)John had first preached [g]before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

25 And when John had fulfilled his course, he said, (K)Whom ye think that I am, I am not he: but behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoe of his feet I am not worthy to loose.
