Version
Psalm 122

Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem.

A Song of Ascents, of David.

122 I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us (A)go to the house of the Lord.”
Our feet are standing
Within your (B)gates, O Jerusalem,
Jerusalem, that is (C)built
As a city that is (D)compact together;
To which the tribes (E)go up, even the tribes of [a]the Lord
[b]An ordinance for Israel—
To give thanks to the name of the Lord.
For there (F)thrones were set for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the (G)peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who (H)love you.
“May peace be within your (I)walls,
And prosperity within your (J)palaces.”
For the sake of my (K)brothers and my friends,
I will now say, “(L)May peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will (M)seek your good.

Genesis 6:11-22

11 Now the earth was (A)corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was (B)filled with violence. 12 God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for (C)all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

13 Then God said to Noah, “(D)The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth. 14 Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall [a]cover it inside and out with pitch. 15 This is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred [b]cubits, its breadth fifty [c]cubits, and its height thirty [d]cubits. 16 You shall make a [e]window for the ark, and finish it to a cubit from [f]the top; and set the door of the ark in the side of it; you shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 Behold, (E)I, even I am bringing the flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is on the earth shall perish. 18 But I will establish (F)My covenant with you; and (G)you shall enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. 19 (H)And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 (I)Of the birds after their kind, and of the animals after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive. 21 As for you, take for yourself some of all (J)food which is edible, and gather it to yourself; and it shall be for food for you and for them.” 22 (K)Thus Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did.

Matthew 24:1-22

Signs of Christ’s Return

24 (A)Jesus (B)came out from the temple and was going away [a]when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. And He said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, (C)not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.”

As He was sitting on (D)the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of (E)Your coming, and of the [b]end of the age?”

And Jesus answered and said to them, (F)See to it that no one misleads you. For (G)many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the [c]Christ,’ and will mislead many. You will be hearing of (H)wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For (I)nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be (J)famines and earthquakes. (K)But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.

(L)Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and (M)you will be hated by all nations because of My name. 10 At that time many will [d](N)fall away and will [e]betray one another and hate one another. 11 Many (O)false prophets will arise and will mislead many. 12 Because lawlessness is increased, [f]most people’s love will grow cold. 13 (P)But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. 14 This (Q)gospel of the kingdom (R)shall be preached in the whole [g](S)world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Perilous Times

15 “Therefore when you see the (T)abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in (U)the holy place ((V)let the reader understand), 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 [h]Whoever is on (W)the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. 18 [i]Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19 But (X)woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be a (Y)great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. 22 Unless those days had been cut short, no [j]life would have been saved; but for (Z)the sake of the [k]elect those days will be cut short.
