^6 (A)Nation was crushed by nation, and city by city, for God troubled them with every kind of distress.

⁸ I looked, and behold, an ^[a](A)ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name ^(B)Death; and ^(C)Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, ^(D)to kill with sword and with famine and with ^[b]pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.
