Version
Psalm 117

Psalm 117

Praise the Lord,(A) all you nations;(B)
    extol him, all you peoples.
For great is his love(C) toward us,
    and the faithfulness of the Lord(D) endures forever.

Praise the Lord.[a]

Jeremiah 30:18-24

18 “This is what the Lord says:

“‘I will restore the fortunes(A) of Jacob’s tents(B)
    and have compassion(C) on his dwellings;
the city will be rebuilt(D) on her ruins,
    and the palace will stand in its proper place.
19 From them will come songs(E) of thanksgiving(F)
    and the sound of rejoicing.(G)
I will add to their numbers,(H)
    and they will not be decreased;
I will bring them honor,(I)
    and they will not be disdained.
20 Their children(J) will be as in days of old,
    and their community will be established(K) before me;
    I will punish(L) all who oppress them.
21 Their leader(M) will be one of their own;
    their ruler will arise from among them.(N)
I will bring him near(O) and he will come close to me—
    for who is he who will devote himself
    to be close to me?’
declares the Lord.
22 “‘So you will be my people,(P)
    and I will be your God.(Q)’”

23 See, the storm(R) of the Lord
    will burst out in wrath,
a driving wind swirling down
    on the heads of the wicked.
24 The fierce anger(S) of the Lord will not turn back(T)
    until he fully accomplishes
    the purposes of his heart.
In days to come
    you will understand(U) this.

Revelation 22:8-21

I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things.(A) And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet(B) of the angel who had been showing them to me. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll.(C) Worship God!”(D)

10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up(E) the words of the prophecy of this scroll,(F) because the time is near.(G) 11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”(H)

Epilogue: Invitation and Warning

12 “Look, I am coming soon!(I) My reward is with me,(J) and I will give to each person according to what they have done.(K) 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega,(L) the First and the Last,(M) the Beginning and the End.(N)

14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes,(O) that they may have the right to the tree of life(P) and may go through the gates(Q) into the city.(R) 15 Outside(S) are the dogs,(T) those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

16 “I, Jesus,(U) have sent my angel(V) to give you[a] this testimony for the churches.(W) I am the Root(X) and the Offspring of David,(Y) and the bright Morning Star.”(Z)

17 The Spirit(AA) and the bride(AB) say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.(AC)

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll:(AD) If anyone adds anything to them,(AE) God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.(AF) 19 And if anyone takes words away(AG) from this scroll of prophecy,(AH) God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life(AI) and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

20 He who testifies to these things(AJ) says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”(AK)

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.(AL)

21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people.(AM) Amen.
