Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
14 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will perform that good thing, which I have promised unto the house of Israel, and to the house of Judah.
15 In those days, and at that time will I cause [a]the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David, and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely, and he that shall call [b]her, is the Lord our [c]righteousness.
25 1 The Prophet touched with the consideration of his sins, and also grieved with the cruel malice of his enemies, 6 Prayeth to God most fervently to have his sins forgiven. 7 Especially such as he had committed in his youth. He beginneth every verse according to the Hebrew letters, two or three except.
A Psalm of David.
1 Unto thee, [a]O Lord, lift I up my soul.
2 My God, I [b]trust in thee; let me not be confounded: let not mine enemies rejoice over me.
3 (A)So all that hope in thee, shall not be ashamed; but let them be confounded, that transgress without cause.
4 [c]Show me thy ways, O Lord, and teach me thy paths.
5 Lead me forth in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation: in thee do I trust [d]all the day.
6 Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy lovingkindness: for they have been forever.
7 Remember not the [e]sins of my youth, nor my rebellions, but according to thy kindness remember thou me, even for thy goodness sake, O Lord.
8 Gracious and righteous is the Lord: therefore will he [f]teach sinners in the way.
9 Them that be meek, will he [g]guide in judgment, and teach the humble his way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies:
9 For what thanks can we recompense to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we rejoice for your sakes before our God,
10 Night and day, (A)praying exceedingly, that we might see your face, and might [a]accomplish that which is lacking in your faith?
11 Now God himself, even our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, guide our journey unto you.
12 [b]And the Lord increase you, and make you abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
13 (B)To make your hearts stable and unblameable in holiness before God even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his Saints.
25 (A)[a]Then there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars, and upon the earth trouble among the nations, with perplexity: the sea and the waters shall roar.
26 [b]And men’s hearts shall fail them for fear and for looking after those things which shall come on the world: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man come in a cloud, with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads: (B)for your redemption draweth near.
29 [c]And he spake to them a parable, Behold, the fig tree, and all trees,
30 When they now shoot forth, ye seeing them, know of your own selves, that summer is then near.
31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is near.
32 Verily I say unto you, This age shall not pass, till all these things be done:
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
34 (C)Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be oppressed with surfeiting and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and lest that day come on you at unawares,
35 For as a snare shall it come [d]on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch therefore, and pray continually, that ye may be counted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and that ye may [e]stand before the son of man.
