47 O clap your hands, all ye people! Shout unto God with the voice of triumph!
2 For the Lord Most High is to be feared; He is a great King over all the earth.
3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom He loved. Selah
5 God has gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises unto our King, sing praises!
7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing ye praises with understanding.
8 God reigneth over the heathen; God sitteth upon the throne of His holiness.
9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong unto God; He is greatly exalted.
36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that Thou art God in Israel, and that I am Thy servant, and that I have done all these things at Thy word.
37 Hear me, O Lord! Hear me, that this people may know that Thou art the Lord God, and that Thou hast turned their heart back again.”
38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and they said, “The Lord, He is the God! The Lord, He is the God!”
4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God.
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God; and such is the spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come, and even now already it is in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world; therefore they speak of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God; he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby we know the Spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
