1テサロニケ 4:9-12
9 神の教会を愛し合うことについては言うまでもない。互いに愛し合わなければならないと教えたのは、神ご自身なのだから。 10 実際、あなた達はマケドニアにいる全ての信じる仲間たちを愛している。さあ今、再びみんなを励ましたい！もっともっと互いを愛そうではないか！
11 平安に満ち溢れた生活を送れるよう、自分たちで出来るだけのことをするのだ。以前伝えたとおり、自分の仕事に責任を持ち、生活するうえで必要な資金を稼ぎなさい。 12 そういった身の回りのこともきちんとすることで、あなた達の生活を見て神を信じていない人からも尊敬を集めることが出来るだろう。そうすれば必要なものを他の人から求める必要がなくなるのだ。
