耶稣谈到自己的死
22 门徒们在加利利相聚。耶稣说∶“人子将被交到凡人手里， 23 他们将杀害他，但是，第三天他会复活。”听到这些，门徒们都很伤心。
耶稣谈交税
24 当耶稣和门徒们来到迦百农时，几个征收大殿税的人走到彼得面前，问∶“你们的老师交不交大殿税？”
25 彼得说∶“当然交。”
彼得进屋后，耶稣先开口说∶“西门，你怎么看这件事呢？世上的君王都从谁身上征收赋税呢？是从他的儿子们还是从其他人身上征收呢？”
26 彼得说∶“从其他人们身上征收。”
耶稣说∶“这样，他的儿子们就免税了。 27 不过，我们也不必触犯这些税官。你去湖边钓鱼，打开你钓到的第一条鱼的嘴巴，你会找到一枚四德拉克马的硬币，足够缴纳你和我的大殿税，你就拿它去交税吧。”
