Psalm 105:1-11

Praise to Yahweh for His Work on Behalf of Israel

105 Give thanks to Yahweh; proclaim his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples.
Sing to him; sing praises concerning him;
tell of all his wonderful works.
Boast about his holy name.
Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
Make supplication to Yahweh and his might;
seek his face continually.
Remember his wonders that he has done,
his signs and the judgments of his mouth,
O offspring of Abraham his servant,
you descendants[a] of Jacob, his chosen ones.
He is Yahweh our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.
He remembers his covenant forever,
the word that he commanded
for a thousand generations,
that he made with Abraham,
and by his oath swore to Isaac.
10 He then confirmed it to Jacob as a statute,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan
as the allotment that is your[b] inheritance.”

Psalm 105:45

45 so that they might observe his statutes,
and keep his laws.
Praise Yah.[a]

Genesis 29:9-14

While he was speaking with them, Rachel came with the sheep which belonged to her father, for she was pasturing them. 10 And it happened that, when Jacob saw Rachel, the daughter of Laban, his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laban, his mother’s brother, Jacob drew near and rolled away the stone from the mouth of the well and watered the sheep of Laban, his mother’s brother. 11 And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice and wept. 12 And Jacob told Rachel that he was the relative of her father, and that he was the son of Rebekah. And she ran and told her father. 13 And it happened that when Laban heard the message about Jacob, the son of his sister, he ran to meet him. And he embraced him and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things. 14 And Laban said to him, “Surely you are my flesh and my bone!” And he stayed with him a month.

Acts 7:44-53

44 The tabernacle of the testimony belonged[a] to our fathers in the wilderness, just as the one who spoke to Moses directed him[b] to make it according to the design that he had seen, 45 and which, after[c] receiving it[d] in turn, our fathers brought in with Joshua when they dispossessed the[e] nations that God drove out from the presence of our fathers, until the days of David, 46 who found favor in the sight of God and asked to find a habitation for the God of Jacob.[f] 47 But Solomon built a house for him. 48 But the Most High does not live in houses[g] made by human hands, just as the prophet says,

49 ‘Heaven is my throne
    and earth is the footstool for my feet.
What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord,
    or what is the place of my rest?
50 Did not my hand make all these things?’[h]

51 You stiff-necked people and uncircumcised in hearts and in your[i] ears! You constantly resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so also do you! 52 Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who announced beforehand about the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become, 53 you who received the law by directions of angels and have not observed it!”
