112 1 He praiseth the felicity of them that fear God, 10 and condemneth the cursed state of the contemners of God.
Praise ye the Lord.
1 Blessed is the man that [a]feareth the Lord, and delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.
3 [b]Riches and treasures shall be in his house, and his righteousness endureth forever.
4 Unto the [c]righteous ariseth light in darkness: he is merciful and full of compassion and righteous.
5 A good man is merciful, and [d]lendeth, and will measure his affairs by judgment.
6 Surely he shall never be moved: but the righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.
7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings: for his heart is fixed, and believeth in the Lord.
8 His heart is established: therefore he will not fear, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9 He hath [e]distributed and given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth forever: his [f]horn shall be exalted with glory.
10 The wicked shall see it, and be angry: he shall gnash with his teeth, and [g]consume away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

1 When a man taketh a wife, and marrieth her, if so be she find no favor in his eyes, because he hath espied some filthiness in her, [a]then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and put it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2 And when she is departed out of his house, and gone her way, and marry with another man,
3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a letter of divorcement, and put it in her hand, and send her out of his house, or if the latter man die which took her to wife:
4 Then her first husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is [b]defiled: for that is abomination in the sight of the Lord, and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the Lord thy God doth give thee to inherit.
5 ¶ When a man taketh a new wife, he shall not go a warfare, [c]neither shall be charged with any business, but shall be free at home one year, and rejoice with his wife, which he hath taken.
10 (A)[a]And unto the married I command, not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband.
11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled unto her husband, and let not the husband put away his wife.
12 [b]But to the remnant I speak, and not the Lord, If any brother have a wife that believeth not, if she be content to dwell with him, let him not forsake her.
13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, if he be content to dwell with her, let her not forsake him.
14 [c]For the unbelieving husband is [d]sanctified to the [e]wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified to the [f]husband, else were your children unclean: but now are they [g]holy.
15 [h]But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart: a brother or a sister is not in subjection in [i]such things: [j]but God hath called us in peace.
16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thine husband? Or what knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
