New Matthew Bible (NMB)
Version
Acts 4:5-12

And it happened on the next day that their rulers and elders and scribes, as Annas the chief priest, and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priests, gathered together at Jerusalem, and set the apostles before them and asked, By what power or in what name have you done this, Sirs?

Then Peter, full of the Holy Spirit, said to them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, if we this day are examined concerning the good deed done to the sick man, how he has been made whole, 10 let it be known to you all, and to the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth – whom you crucified, and whom God raised again from death – even by him does this man stand here present before you, healed. 11 Jesus is the stone cast aside by you builders, which is set in the chief place of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other, nor yet also is there any other name given to mankind in which we can be saved.

1 John 3:16-24

16 By this we perceive love: that he gave his life for us. And therefore we also ought to give our lives for the brethren. 17 Whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his compassion from him, how does the love of God dwell in him?

18 My babes, let us not love in word, nor in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 For by this we know that we are of the truth, and can quiet our hearts before him. 20 But if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts, and knows all things. 21 Beloveds, if our hearts do not condemn us, then we have trust before God – 22 and whatever we ask, we shall receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23 And this is his commandment: that we believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave commandment. 24 And he who keeps his commandments dwells in him, and he in him. And by this we know that there abides in us of the Spirit that he gave us.

John 10:11-18

11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. 12 But a hired servant, who is not the shepherd, neither are the sheep his own, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep, and flees; and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep. 13 The hired servant flees because he is a hired servant, and does not care for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my own, and am known by my own. 15 As my Father knows me, even so do I know my Father. And I give my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have who are not of this fold. Them also must I bring, so that they may hear my voice, and so that there may be one flock and one shepherd.

17 Therefore does my Father love me: because I put my life from me so that I may take it back again. 18 No man takes it from me, but I put it away of myself. I have power to put it from me, and have power to take it again. This commandment I have received from my Father.
