Version
Psalm 147:12-20

12 Praise the Lord, Jerusalem!
Praise your God, Zion!
13 For He has strengthened the (A)bars of your gates;
He has (B)blessed your sons among you.
14 He (C)makes [a]peace in your borders;
He (D)satisfies you with (E)the [b]finest of the wheat.
15 He sends His (F)command to the earth;
His (G)word runs very swiftly.
16 He [c]showers (H)snow like wool;
He scatters the (I)frost like ashes.
17 He hurls His (J)ice as fragments;
Who can stand before His (K)cold?
18 He (L)sends His word and makes them melt;
He (M)makes His wind blow, and the waters flow.
19 He (N)declares His words to Jacob,
His (O)statutes and His judgments to Israel.
20 He (P)has not dealt this way with any other nation;
And as for His judgments, [d]they have (Q)not known them.
[e]Praise [f]the Lord!

2 Chronicles 1:7-13

(A)In that night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask what I shall give you.”

Solomon’s Prayer for Wisdom

And Solomon said to God, “You have dealt with my father David with great faithfulness, and (B)have made me king in his place. Now, Lord God, (C)Your [a]promise to my father David is fulfilled, for You have made me king over (D)a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. 10 (E)Now give me wisdom and knowledge, (F)so that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can rule this great people of Yours?” 11 (G)Then God said to Solomon, “Because this was [b]in your heart, and you did not ask for riches, wealth, or honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor did you even ask for long life, but you asked for yourself wisdom and knowledge so that you may rule My people over whom I have made you king, 12 wisdom and knowledge have been granted to you. (H)I will also give you riches, wealth, and honor, [c]such as none of the kings who were before you has possessed, nor will those who will [d]come after you.” 13 (I)So Solomon went [e]from the high place which was at Gibeon, from the tent of meeting, to Jerusalem, and he reigned over Israel.

Mark 13:32-37

32 (A)But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

33 “Watch out, (B)stay alert; for you do not know when the appointed time is. 34 (C)It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and [a]putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay alert. 35 Therefore, (D)stay alert—for you do not know when the [b]master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or (E)when the rooster crows, or (F)in the morning— 36 so that he does not come suddenly and find you (G)asleep. 37 What I say to you I say to all: ‘(H)Stay alert!’”
