Psalm 25:1-10

Teach Me Your Paths

[a] Of David.

25 To you, O Lord, I (A)lift up my soul.
O my God, in you I (B)trust;
    (C)let me not be put to shame;
    (D)let not my enemies exult over me.
Indeed, (E)none who wait for you shall be put to shame;
    they shall be ashamed who are (F)wantonly (G)treacherous.

(H)Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
    teach me your paths.
Lead me in your (I)truth and teach me,
    for you are the God of my salvation;
    for you I wait all the day long.

Remember your (J)mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love,
    (K)for they have been from of old.
Remember not (L)the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
    according to your (M)steadfast love remember me,
    for the sake of your goodness, O Lord!

(N)Good and upright is the Lord;
    therefore he (O)instructs sinners in the way.
He leads the humble in what is right,
    and teaches the humble his way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are (P)steadfast love and faithfulness,
    for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Nehemiah 9:26-31

26 (A)“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you (B)and cast your law behind their back (C)and killed your prophets, who (D)had warned them in order to turn them back to you, (E)and they committed great blasphemies. 27 (F)Therefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. (G)And in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them (H)saviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies. 28 (I)But after they had rest they did evil again before you, and you abandoned them to the hand of their enemies, so that they had dominion over them. Yet when they turned and cried to you, you heard from heaven, (J)and many times you delivered them according to your mercies. 29 (K)And you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Yet (L)they acted presumptuously and did not obey your commandments, but sinned against your rules, (M)which if a person does them, he shall live by them, (N)and they turned a stubborn shoulder (O)and stiffened their neck and would not obey. 30 Many years (P)you bore with them (Q)and warned them (R)by your Spirit through your prophets. (S)Yet they would not give ear. (T)Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands. 31 Nevertheless, (U)in your great mercies (V)you did not make an end of them or forsake them, (W)for you are a gracious and merciful God.

Luke 21:20-24

Jesus Foretells Destruction of Jerusalem

20 “But (A)when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that (B)its desolation has come near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, 22 for these are (C)days of (D)vengeance, to fulfill (E)all that is written. 23 (F)Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and (G)wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the edge of the sword and (H)be led captive among all nations, and (I)Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, (J)until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
