Psalm 119:41-48

Waw

41 Let your (A)steadfast love come to me, O Lord,
    your salvation (B)according to your promise;
42 then (C)shall I have an answer for him (D)who taunts me,
for I trust in your word.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
for my (E)hope is in your rules.
44 I will keep your law continually,
    for ever and ever,
45 and I shall walk (F)in a wide place,
for I have (G)sought your precepts.
46 I will also speak of your testimonies (H)before kings
and shall not be put to shame,
47 for I (I)find my delight in your commandments,
    which I love.
48 I will (J)lift up my hands towards your commandments, which I love,
and I will (K)meditate on your statutes.

Deuteronomy 6:1-9

The Greatest Commandment

“Now this is (A)the commandment, the statutes and the rules[a] that the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land to which you are going over, to possess it, that (B)you may fear the Lord your God, you and your son and your son's son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and (C)that your days may be long. Hear therefore, O Israel, and be careful to do them, that it may go well with you, and that you may multiply greatly, (D)as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has promised you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.

“Hear, O Israel: (E)The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[b] You (F)shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And (G)these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. (H)You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. (I)You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. (J)You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Deuteronomy 6:20-25

20 (A)“When your son asks you in time to come, ‘What is the meaning of the testimonies and the statutes and the rules that the Lord our God has commanded you?’ 21 then you shall say to your son, (B)‘We were Pharaoh's slaves in Egypt. And the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand. 22 And (C)the Lord showed signs and wonders, great and grievous, against Egypt and against Pharaoh and all his household, before our eyes. 23 And he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in and give us the land that he swore to give to our fathers. 24 And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, (D)to fear the Lord our God, (E)for our good always, that (F)he might preserve us alive, as we are this day. 25 And (G)it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us.’

James 2:8-13

If you really fulfil the royal law according to the Scripture, (A)“You shall love your neighbour as yourself”, you are doing well. But if you (B)show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point (C)has become accountable for all of it. 11 For he who said, (D)“Do not commit adultery”, also said, (E)“Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under (F)the law of liberty. 13 For (G)judgement is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgement.
