Psalm 145:8-14

The Lord is (A)gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
The Lord is (B)good to all,
and his mercy is over all that he has made.
10 (C)All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,
and all your (D)saints shall bless you!
11 They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom
    and tell of your power,
12 to (E)make known to the children of man your[a] (F)mighty deeds,
and (G)the glorious splendour of your kingdom.
13 (H)Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
[The Lord is faithful in all his words
and kind in all his works.][b]
14 The Lord (I)upholds all who are falling
and (J)raises up all who are bowed down.

Zechariah 4:1-7

A Vision of a Golden Lampstand

And (A)the angel who talked with me came again (B)and woke me, like a man who is awakened out of his sleep. And he said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I see, and behold, (C)a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl on the top of it, and (D)seven lamps on it, with seven lips on each of the lamps that are on the top of it. And there are (E)two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.” And I said to (F)the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?” Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, (G)“Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.” Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to (H)Zerubbabel: (I)Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Who are you, (J)O great mountain? Before (K)Zerubbabel (L)you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward (M)the top stone amid shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”

Luke 10:21-24

Jesus Rejoices in the Father's Will

21 (A)In that same hour (B)he rejoiced (C)in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, (D)Lord of heaven and earth, that (E)you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and (F)revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for (G)such was your gracious will.[a] 22 (H)All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is (I)except the Father, or who the Father is (J)except the Son and anyone (K)to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

23 Then turning to the disciples he said privately, (L)“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see! 24 For I tell you (M)that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”
