Psalm 20

Prayer for Victory over Enemies.

For the music director. A Psalm of David.

20 May the Lord answer you (A)on a day of trouble!
May the (B)name of the (C)God of Jacob [a]protect you!
May He send you help (D)from the sanctuary,
And (E)support you from Zion!
May He (F)remember all your meal offerings
And [b](G)accept your burnt offering! Selah

May He grant you your (H)heart’s desire
And (I)fulfill your whole plan!
[c]We will (J)sing for joy over your [d]victory,
And in the name of our God we will (K)set up our banners.
May the Lord (L)fulfill all your desires.

Now (M)I know that the Lord saves His anointed;
He will (N)answer him from His holy heaven
With the [e](O)saving strength of His right hand.
Some praise their chariots and some their (P)horses,
But (Q)we will praise the name of the Lord, our God.
They have (R)bowed down and fallen,
But we have (S)risen and stood upright.
[f](T)Save, Lord;
May the (U)King answer us on the day we call.

Exodus 40:1-15

The Tabernacle Erected

40 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, (A)On the first day of the first month you shall set up the [a]tabernacle of the tent of meeting. (B)You shall place the ark of the testimony there, and you shall screen off the ark with the veil. Then you shall (C)bring in the table and (D)arrange [b]what belongs on it; and you shall (E)bring in the lampstand and [c]mount its lamps. You shall also (F)set the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the testimony, and set up the curtain for the doorway to the tabernacle. And you shall set the altar of burnt offering in front of the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. Then you shall (G)set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water [d]in it. You shall also set up the courtyard all around and [e]hang up the curtain for the gate of the courtyard. Then you shall take the anointing oil and (H)anoint the tabernacle and everything that is in it, and consecrate it and all its [f]furnishings; and it shall be holy. 10 You shall also anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar, and (I)the altar shall be most holy. 11 And you shall anoint the basin and its stand, and consecrate it. 12 Then you shall (J)bring Aaron and his sons to the doorway of the tent of meeting and wash them with water. 13 And (K)you shall put the holy garments on Aaron and anoint him and consecrate him, so that he may serve as a priest to Me. 14 You shall also bring his sons and put tunics on them; 15 and you shall anoint them just as you have anointed their father, so that they may serve as priests to Me; and their anointing will [g]qualify them for a (L)permanent priesthood throughout their generations.”

Hebrews 10:19-25

A New and Living Way

19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we (A)have confidence to (B)enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by (C)a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through (D)the veil, that is, through His flesh, 21 and since we have (E)a great priest (F)over the house of God, 22 let’s (G)approach God with a [a]sincere heart in (H)full assurance of faith, having our hearts (I)sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies (J)washed with pure water. 23 Let’s hold firmly to the (K)confession of our (L)hope without wavering, for (M)He who promised is faithful; 24 and let’s consider how (N)to [b]encourage one another in love and (O)good deeds, 25 not abandoning our own (P)meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but (Q)encouraging one another; and all the more as you see (R)the day drawing near.
