New English Translation (NET)
Version
Psalm 131

Psalm 131[a]

A song of ascents,[b] by David.

131 O Lord, my heart is not proud,
nor do I have a haughty look.[c]
I do not have great aspirations,
or concern myself with things that are beyond me.[d]
Indeed,[e] I have calmed and quieted myself[f]
like a weaned child with its mother;[g]
I am content like a young child.[h]
O Israel, hope in the Lord
now and forevermore!

Isaiah 26:1-6

Judah Will Celebrate

26 At that time[a] this song will be sung in the land of Judah:
“We have a strong city!
The Lord’s[b] deliverance, like walls and a rampart, makes it secure.[c]
Open the gates so a righteous nation can enter—
one that remains trustworthy.
You keep completely safe the people who maintain their faith,
for they trust in you.[d]
Trust in the Lord from this time forward,[e]
even in Yah, the Lord, an enduring protector![f]
Indeed,[g] the Lord knocks down those who live in a high place,
he brings down an elevated town;
he brings it down to the ground,[h]
he throws it down to the dust.
It is trampled underfoot
by the feet of the oppressed,
by the soles of the poor.”

Philippians 2:25-30

25 But for now[a] I have considered it necessary to send Epaphroditus to you. For he is my brother,[b] coworker and fellow soldier, and your messenger[c] and minister[d] to me in my need.[e] 26 Indeed, he greatly missed all of you and was distressed because you heard that he had been ill. 27 In fact he became so ill that he nearly died.[f] But God showed mercy to him—and not to him only, but also to me—so that I would not have grief on top of grief. 28 Therefore I am all the more eager to send him,[g] so that when you see him again you can rejoice[h] and I can be free from anxiety. 29 So welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor people like him, 30 since it was because of the work of Christ that he almost died. He risked his life so that he could make up for your inability to serve me.[i]
