31 In Thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Thy righteousness.
2 Bow down Thine ear to me, deliver me speedily; be Thou my strong rock, a house of defense to save me.
3 For Thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for the sake of Thy name, lead me and guide me.
4 Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me, for Thou art my strength.
5 Into Thine hand I commit my spirit; Thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.
19 O how great is Thy goodness which Thou hast laid up for them that fear Thee, which Thou hast wrought for them that trust in Thee before the sons of men!
20 Thou shalt hide them in the safety of Thy presence from the pride of man; Thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
21 Blessed be the Lord, for He hath shown me His marvelous kindness in a stronghold city!
22 For I said in my haste, “I am cut off from before Thine eyes!” Nevertheless Thou heard the voice of my supplications when I cried unto Thee.
23 O love the Lord, all ye His saints! For the Lord preserveth the faithful, but plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
24 Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.
30 “And it shall come to pass, when all these things have come upon thee, the blessing and the curse which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee,
2 and shalt return unto the Lord thy God and shalt obey His voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart and with all thy soul,
3 that then the Lord thy God will return thee from captivity and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.
4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will He fetch thee.
5 And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and He will do thee good and multiply thee above thy fathers.
6 It is not as though the Word of God hath taken no effect. For they are not all Israel, who are of Israel;
7 neither because they are the seed of Abraham are they all children; but, “In Isaac shall thy seed be called.”
8 That is, they who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; rather, the children of the promise are counted as the seed.
9 For this is the word of promise: “At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.”
10 And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac
11 (for the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, in order that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not by works, but by Him that calleth),
12 it was said unto her, “The elder shall serve the younger.”
13 As it is written: “Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.”
