Version
Acts 1:6-14

Therefore, when they had come together, they asked of Him, saying, “Lord, will You restore the Kingdom to Israel at this time?”

And He said to them, “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the Father has put in place by His own authority.

“But you shall receive power from the Holy Ghost when He shall come upon you. And you shall be witnesses to Me, both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the outermost part of the Earth.”

And when He had spoken these things, while they looked on, He was taken up. For a cloud took Him up out of their sight.

10 And as He went, while they were looking toward Heaven, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,

11 who also said, “You men of Galilee! Why do you stand, gazing into Heaven? This Jesus Who is taken up from you into Heaven, shall also come as you have seen Him go into Heaven.”

12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount that is called ‘Olivet’, which is near Jerusalem, being from it a Sabbath’s journey.

13 And when they had come in, they went up into an upper room, where Peter and James were, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zealot, and Judas (James’ brother).

14 These all continued, with one mind, in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

Psalm 68:1-10

68 God will arise. His enemies shall be scattered. Also, those who hate Him shall flee before Him.

As the smoke vanishes, so shall You drive them away. As wax melts before the fire, so shall the wicked perish at the presence of God.

But the righteous shall be glad and rejoice before God. Indeed, they shall leap for joy.

Sing to God! Sing praises to His Name! Exalt Him Who rides upon the heavens (by his Name, YAH) and rejoice before him!

He is a Father of the fatherless and a Judge of the widows: God in His Holy Habitation.

God makes the solitary dwell in families and delivers those who were held captive. But the rebellious shall dwell in a parched land.

O God, when You went forth before Your people, when You went through the wilderness (Selah),

the Earth shook, and the heavens dropped at the presence of this God. Sinai was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

You, O God, sent a gracious rain upon Your inheritance; and You refreshed it when it was weary.

10 Your Congregation dwelled therein. You, O God, have, by Your goodness, prepared it for the poor.

Psalm 68:32-35

32 Sing to God, O you kingdoms of the Earth! Sing praise to the LORD (Selah),

33 to him who rides upon the Most High Heavens, Who was from the beginning. Behold, He will send out, by His voice, a mighty sound!

34 Ascribe the power to God! His majesty is upon Israel and His strength is in the clouds!

35 O God, You are awesome out of Your Holy places! The God of Israel is He Who gives strength and power to the people! Praise God! To him who excels upon Shoshannim: A Psalm of David

1 Peter 4:12-14

12 Dearly beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is among you (to test you), as though some strange thing had come to you.

13 But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings! So that when His Glory shall appear, you may be glad and rejoice!

14 If you are railed upon for the Name of Christ, you are blessed! For the Spirit of Glory and of God rests upon you (Who on their part is blasphemed, but on your part is glorified).

1 Peter 5:6-11

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time.

Cast all your cares on Him. For He cares for you.

Be sober, and watch. For your adversary, the devil, walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Steadfastly resist him in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brothers who are in the world.

10 And the God of all grace - Who has called us to His eternal Glory by Christ Jesus - will, after you have suffered a little, make you perfect; will confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

11 To Him be glory and dominion, forever and ever. Amen.

John 17:1-11

17 Jesus spoke these things. And having lifted up his eyes to Heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, so that Your Son may also glorify You,

“as You have given Him power over all flesh, so that He should give eternal life to all those whom You have given Him.

“And this is life eternal: that they know You to be the only true God, and Whom You have sent, Jesus Christ.

“I have glorified You on the Earth. I have finished the work which You gave Me to do.

“And now, glorify Me, Father, with Your own Self, with the Glory which I had with You before the world was.

“I have declared Your Name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me. And they have kept Your word.

“Now they know that all things which You have given Me are from You.

“For I have given them the words which You gave Me. And they have received them and have known surely that I came out from You, and have believed that You have sent Me.

“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world, but for those whom You have given Me. For they are yours.

10 “And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine. And I am glorified in them.

11 “And now I am no longer in the world. But these are in the world. And I come to You, Holy Father. Keep them in Your Name, even those whom You have given Me. So that they may be one, as We are.
