Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
42 As the deer brays for the rivers of water, so panted my soul after You, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, even for the living God. When shall I come and appear before the presence of God?
3 My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me daily, “Where is your God?”
4 When I remembered these things, I poured out my very heart; because I had gone with the multitude and led them into the House of God with the voice of singing and praise, as a multitude that keeps a feast.
5 Why are you cast down, my soul, and unquiet within me? Wait on God; for I will still give Him thanks for the help of His presence.
6 My God, my soul is cast down within me because I remembered You from the land of Jordan, and Hermon, and from the Mount Mizar.
7 One deep calls another deep by the noise of Your waterspouts. All Your waves and Your floods have gone over me.
8 The LORD will grant His lovingkindness in the day; and in the night shall I sing of Him a prayer to the God of my life.
9 I will say to God, my Rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning when the enemy oppresses?”
10 As a sword shattering my bones, my enemies reproach me, saying daily to me, “Where is your God?”
11 Why are you cast down, my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Wait on God. For I will yet give thanks to Him, to the Face of my Deliverer and my God.
17 “Is it not but a little while before Lebanon shall be turned into Carmel, and Carmel shall be counted as a forest?
18 “And on that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book. And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
19 “The meek in the LORD shall receive joy again. And the poor men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20 “For the cruel man shall cease and the scornful shall be consumed. And all who hurried to iniquity shall be cut off,
21 “who made a man sin with words and took him who reproved in the gate in a snare and made the just fall without cause.”
22 Therefore, thus says the LORD to the House of Jacob, He who redeemed Abraham: “Jacob shall not be confounded now, nor shall his face be pale now.
23 “But when he sees his children, the work of My Hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify My Name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
24 “Then, those who erred in spirit shall have understanding. And those who murmured shall learn doctrine.”
12 Thus, many signs and wonders were shown among the people by the hands of the Apostles. And they were all of one mind in Solomon’s porch.
13 And of the rest, no one dared join them. Nevertheless, the people extolled them.
14 Also, the number of those who believed in the Lord, both of men and women, grew more and more;
15 insomuch that they brought the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, so that at least the shadow of Peter might envelop some of them when he came by.
16 Also, a multitude came into Jerusalem out of the surrounding cities (bringing sick folks and those who were possessed with unclean spirits) who were all healed.
