New King James Version (NKJV)
Version
Psalm 146:5-10

(A)Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,
(B)Who made heaven and earth,
The sea, and all that is in them;
Who keeps truth forever,
(C)Who executes justice for the oppressed,
(D)Who gives food to the hungry.
(E)The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners.

(F)The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;
(G)The Lord raises those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous.
(H)The Lord watches over the strangers;
He relieves the fatherless and widow;
(I)But the way of the wicked He [a]turns upside down.

10 (J)The Lord shall reign forever—
Your God, O Zion, to all generations.

Praise the Lord!

Ruth 4:13-17

Descendants of Boaz and Ruth(A)

13 So Boaz (B)took Ruth and she became his wife; and when he went in to her, (C)the Lord gave her conception, and she bore a son. 14 Then (D)the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a [a]close relative; and may his name be famous in Israel! 15 And may he be to you a restorer of life and a [b]nourisher of your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, who is (E)better to you than seven sons, has borne him.” 16 Then Naomi took the child and laid him on her bosom, and became a nurse to him. 17 (F)Also the neighbor women gave him a name, saying, “There is a son born to Naomi.” And they called his name Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

2 Peter 3:11-18

11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be (A)in holy conduct and godliness, 12 (B)looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will (C)be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will (D)melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for (E)new heavens and a (F)new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Be Steadfast

14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent (G)to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that (H)the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his (I)epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the (J)rest of the Scriptures.

17 You therefore, beloved, (K)since you know this beforehand, (L)beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18 (M)but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

(N)To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
