Psalm 24

The King of Glory and His Kingdom

A Psalm of David.

24 The (A)earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
For He has (B)founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the [a]waters.

(C)Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
He who has (D)clean hands and (E)a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor (F)sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive blessing from the Lord,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is Jacob, the generation of those who (G)seek Him,
Who seek Your face. Selah

(H)Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
(I)And the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
The Lord mighty in (J)battle.
Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah

Isaiah 33:17-22

The Land of the Majestic King

17 Your eyes will see the King in His (A)beauty;
They will see the land that is very far off.
18 Your heart will meditate on terror:
(B)“Where is the scribe?
Where is he who weighs?
Where is he who counts the towers?”
19 (C)You will not see a fierce people,
(D)A people of obscure speech, beyond perception,
Of a [a]stammering tongue that you cannot understand.

20 (E)Look upon Zion, the city of our appointed feasts;
Your eyes will see (F)Jerusalem, a quiet home,
A tabernacle that will not be taken down;
(G)Not one of (H)its stakes will ever be removed,
Nor will any of its cords be broken.
21 But there the majestic Lord will be for us
A place of broad rivers and streams,
In which no [b]galley with oars will sail,
Nor majestic ships pass by
22 (For the Lord is our (I)Judge,
The Lord is our (J)Lawgiver,
(K)The Lord is our King;
He will save us);

Revelation 22:8-21

Now I, John, [a]saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, (A)I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

Then he said to me, (B)“See that you do not do that. [b]For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” 10 (C)And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, (D)for the time is at hand. 11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him [c]be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”

Jesus Testifies to the Churches

12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and (E)My reward is with Me, (F)to give to every one according to his work. 13 (G)I am the Alpha and the Omega, the [d]Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

14 (H)Blessed are those who [e]do His commandments, that they may have the right (I)to the tree of life, (J)and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 [f]But (K)outside are (L)dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

16 (M)“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. (N)I am the Root and the Offspring of David, (O)the Bright and Morning Star.”

17 And the Spirit and (P)the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” (Q)And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

A Warning

18 [g]For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: (R)If anyone adds to these things, [h]God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, (S)God[i] shall take away his part from the [j]Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I Am Coming Quickly

20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.”

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be [k]with you all. Amen.
