Job 19:23-27

23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were written even in a book,

24 And graven with [a]an iron pen in lead, or in stone forever!

25 For I am sure that my [b]Redeemer liveth, and he shall stand the last on the earth.

26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet shall I see God [c]in my flesh.

27 Whom I myself shall see, and mine eyes shall behold, and none other for me, though my reins are consumed within me.

Psalm 17:1-9

17 1 Here he complaineth to God of the cruel pride and arrogance of Saul, and the rest of his enemies, who thus raged without any cause given on his part. 6 Therefore he desireth God to revenge his innocence and deliver him.

The prayer of David.

Hear [a]the right, O Lord, consider my cry: hearken unto my prayer of lips unfeigned.

Let my [b]sentence come forth from thy presence, and let thine eyes behold equity.

Thou hast [c]proved and visited mine heart in the night: thou hast tried me, and foundest nothing: for I was purposed that my [d]mouth should not offend.

Concerning the works of men, by the [e]words of thy lips I kept me from the paths of the cruel man.

Stay my steps in thy paths, that my feet do not slide.

I have called upon thee: [f]surely thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear to me, and hearken unto my words.

Show thy marvelous mercies: thou that art the Savior of them that trust in thee, from such as [g]resist thy right hand.

Keep me as the apple of the eye: hide me under the shadow of thy wings,

From the wicked that oppress me, from mine enemies, which compass me round about for [h]my soul.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-5

2 He showeth that the day of the Lord shall not come, till there be a departure from the faith, 3 and that Antichrist be revealed, 8 whose destruction he setteth out, 15 and thereupon exhorteth to constancy.

Now [a]we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our [b]assembling unto him,

[c]That ye be not suddenly moved from your mind, nor troubled neither by [d]spirit, nor by [e]word, nor by [f]letter, as it were from us, as though the day of Christ were at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means: [g]for that day shall not come, except there come a departing first, and that [h]that man of sin be disclosed, even the son of perdition.

Which is an adversary, and [i]exalteth himself against all that is called God, or that is worshipped: [j]so that he doth sit as God in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

[k]Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

2 Thessalonians 2:13-17

13 [a]But we ought to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because that God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through [b]sanctification of the Spirit, and the [c]faith of truth,

14 Whereunto he called you by our [d]Gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 [e]Therefore, brethren, stand fast and keep the instructions, which ye have been taught, either by word, or by our Epistle.

16 Now the same Jesus Christ our Lord, and our God, even the Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every word and good work.

Luke 20:27-38

27 (A)[a]Then came to him certain of the Sadducees (which deny that there is any resurrection) and they asked him,

28 Saying, Master, (B)Moses wrote unto us, If any man’s brother die having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

29 Now there were seven brethren, and the first took a wife, and he died without children.

30 And the second took the wife, and he died childless.

31 Then the third took her: and so likewise the seven died, and left no children.

32 And last of all, the woman died also.

33 Therefore at the resurrection, whose wife of them shall she be? for seven had her to wife.

34 Then Jesus answered, and said unto them, The [b]children of this world marry wives, and are married.

35 But they which shall be counted worthy to enjoy that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry wives, neither are married.

36 For they can die no more, forasmuch as they are equal unto the Angels, and are the sons of God, since they are the [c]children of the resurrection.

37 And that the dead shall rise again, even (C)Moses showed it besides the bush, when he said, The Lord is the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

38 For he is not the God of the dead, but of them which live: for all [d]live unto him.
