65 “I am sought of them that asked not for Me; I am found of them that sought Me not. I said, ‘Behold Me, behold Me,’ unto a nation that was not called by My name.

² I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

³ A people that provoketh Me to anger continually to My face, that sacrificeth in gardens and burneth incense upon altars of brick;

⁴ who remain among the graves and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

⁵ who say, ‘Stand by thyself; come not near to me, for I am holier than thou!’ These are a smoke in My nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

⁶ Behold, it is written before Me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense—even recompense into their bosom”

⁷ your iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers together,” saith the Lord, “who have burned incense upon the mountains and blasphemed Me upon the hills; therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.”

⁸ Thus saith the Lord, “As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, ‘Destroy it not, for a blessing is in it,’ so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all.

⁹ And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of My mountains; and Mine elect shall inherit it, and My servants shall dwell there.

¹⁹ But be Thou not far from Me, O Lord; O My Strength, hasten Thee to help Me!

²⁰ Deliver My soul from the sword, My only one from the power of the dog.

²¹ Save Me from the lion’s mouth; for Thou hast heard Me from the horns of the unicorns.

²² I will declare Thy name unto My brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise Thee.

²³ Ye that fear the Lord, praise Him! All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify Him; and fear Him, all ye the seed of Israel.

²⁴ For He hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath He hid His face from Him, but when He cried unto Him, He heard.

²⁵ My praise shall be of Thee in the great congregation; I will pay My vows before them that fear Him.

²⁶ The meek shall eat and be satisfied; they shall praise the Lord that seek Him. Your heart shall live for ever.

²⁷ All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord, and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee.

²⁸ For the kingdom is the Lord’S, and He is the governor among the nations.

²³ But before faith came, we were kept under the law, being shut apart from the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

²⁴ Therefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

²⁵ But after faith has come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

²⁶ For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

²⁷ For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

²⁹ And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.

²⁶ And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.

²⁷ And when He went forth to land, there met Him from the city a certain man who had had devils a long time, and wore no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

²⁸ When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, “What have I to do with Thee, Jesus, Thou Son of God Most High? I beseech Thee, torment me not!”

²⁹ (For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him, and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he broke the bands and was driven by the devil into the wilderness.)

³⁰ And Jesus asked him, saying, “What is thy name?” And he said, “Legion,” because many devils had entered into him.

³¹ And they besought Him that He would not command them to go out into the deep.

³² And there was there a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain. And they besought Him that He would suffer them to enter into them. And He suffered them.

³³ Then went the devils out of the man and entered into the swine, and the herd ran violently down a steep slope into the lake and were choked.

³⁴ When those who fed them saw what was done, they fled and went and told it in the city and in the country.

³⁵ Then they went out to see what was done. And they came to Jesus, and found the man out of whom the devils had departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

³⁶ Those also who had seen it told them by what means he that had been possessed by the devils was healed.

³⁷ Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes and round about besought Him to depart from them, for they were taken with great fear. And He went up into the boat, and returned back again.

³⁸ Now the man out of whom the devils had departed besought Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,

³⁹ “Return to thine own house, and show what great things God hath done unto thee.” And he went his way, and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done unto him.
