⁹ I beheld till thrones were placed, and the Ancient of days sat: his garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like clean wool: his throne like flames of fire: the wheels of it like a burning fire.

¹⁰ A swift stream of fire issued forth from before him: thousands of thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times a hundred thousand stood before him: the judgment sat, and the books were opened.

¹³ I beheld therefore in the vision of the night, and lo, one like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and he came even to the Ancient of days: and they presented him before him.

¹⁴ And he gave him power, and glory, and a kingdom: and all peoples, tribes and tongues shall serve him: his power is an everlasting power that shall not be taken away: and his kingdom that shall not be destroyed.

93 The Lord is the God to whom revenge belongeth: the God of revenge hath acted freely.

² Lift up thyself, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.

³ How long shall sinners, O Lord: how long shall sinners glory?

⁴ Shall they utter, and speak iniquity: shall all speak who work injustice?

⁵ Thy people, O Lord, they have brought low: and they have afflicted thy inheritance.

⁶ They have slain the widow and the stranger: and they have murdered the fatherless.

⁷ And they have said: The Lord shall not see: neither shall the God of Jacob understand.

⁸ Understand, ye senseless among the people: and, you fools, be wise at last.

⁹ He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that formed the eye, doth he not consider?

¹⁰ He that chastiseth nations, shall he not rebuke: he that teacheth man knowledge?

¹¹ The Lord knoweth the thoughts of men, that they are vain.

¹² Blessed is the man whom thou shalt instruct, O Lord: and shalt teach him out of thy law.

¹³ That thou mayst give him rest from the evil days: till a pit be dug for the wicked.

¹⁴ For the Lord will not cast off his people: neither will he forsake his own inheritance.

¹⁵ Until justice be turned into judgment: and they that are near it are all the upright in heart.

¹⁶ Who shall rise up for me against the evildoers? or who shall stand with me against the workers of iniquity?

¹⁷ Unless the Lord had been my helper, my soul had almost dwelt in hell.

¹⁸ If I said: My foot is moved: thy mercy, O Lord, assisted me.

¹⁹ According to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart, thy comforts have given joy to my soul.

²⁰ Doth the seat of iniquity stick to thee, who framest labour in commandment?

²¹ They will hunt after the soul of the just, and will condemn innocent blood.

²² But the Lord is my refuge: and my God the help of my hope.

²³ And he will render them their iniquity: and in their malice he will destroy them: the Lord our God will destroy them.

⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia. Grace be unto you and peace from him that is, and that was, and that is to come, and from the seven spirits which are before his throne,

⁵ And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth, who hath loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

⁶ And hath made us a kingdom, and priests to God and his Father, to him be glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.

⁷ Behold, he cometh with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they also that pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth shall bewail themselves because of him. Even so. Amen.

⁸ I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, saith the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

³³ Pilate therefore went into the hall again, and called Jesus, and said to him: Art thou the king of the Jews?

³⁴ Jesus answered: Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or have others told it thee of me?

³⁵ Pilate answered: Am I a Jew? Thy own nation, and the chief priests, have delivered thee up to me: what hast thou done?

³⁶ Jesus answered: My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would certainly strive that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now my kingdom is not from hence.

³⁷ Pilate therefore said to him: Art thou a king then? Jesus answered: Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth my voice.
