Psalm 119:97-104

MEM

97 Oh how love I thy law! it is my meditation [a]continually.

98 By thy commandments thou hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

99 I have had more [b]understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

100 I understood more than the ancient, because I kept thy precepts.

101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

102 I have not declined from thy judgments: for [c]thou didst teach me.

103 How sweet are thy promises unto my mouth! yea, more than honey unto my mouth.

104 By thy precepts I have gotten understanding: therefore I hate all the ways of falsehood.

Isaiah 33:10-16

10 Now will I [a]arise, saith the Lord: now will I be exalted, now will I lift up myself.

11 [b]Ye shall conceive chaff, and bring forth stubble: the fire of your breath shall devour you.

12 And the people shall be as the burning of lime: and as the thorns cut up, shall they be burnt in the fire.

13 Hear, ye that are [c]far off, what I have done, and ye that are near, know my power.

14 The [d]sinners in Zion are afraid: a fear is come upon the hypocrites: who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with the everlasting burnings?

15 He that walketh in justice, and speaketh righteous things, refusing gain of oppression, shaking his hands from taking of gifts, stopping his ears from hearing of blood, and shutting his eyes from seeing evil,

16 He shall dwell on [e]high: his defense shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him, and his waters shall be sure.

John 15:16-25

16 [a]Ye [b]have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, (A)that ye go and bring forth fruits, and that your fruit remain, that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my Name, he may give it you.

17 These things command I you, that ye love one another.

18 [c]If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before you.

19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

20 Remember the word that I said unto you, (B)The servant is not greater than his master. (C)If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also: if they have kept my word, they will also keep yours.

21 [d]But (D)all these things will they do unto you for my Name’s sake, because they have not known him that sent me.

22 [e]If I had not come and spoken unto them, they should not have had sin: but now have they no cloak for their sin.

23 He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.

24 If I had not done works among them which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen, and have hated both me, and my Father.

25 But it is that the word might be fulfilled, that is written in their [f]Law, (E)They hated me without a cause.
