Version
Psalm 78:23-29

23 Yet He commanded the clouds above
And (A)opened the doors of heaven;
24 He (B)rained down manna upon them to eat
And gave them [a](C)food from heaven.
25 Man did eat the bread of [b]angels;
He sent them [c]food [d](D)in abundance.
26 He (E)caused the east wind to blow in the heavens
And by His [e]power He directed the south wind.
27 When He rained [f]meat upon them like the dust,
Even (F)winged fowl like the sand of the seas,
28 Then He let them fall in the midst of [g]their camp,
Round about their dwellings.
29 So they (G)ate and were well filled,
And their desire He gave to them.

Exodus 13:3-10

Moses said to the people, “(A)Remember this day in which you went out from Egypt, from the house of [a]slavery; for (B)by [b]a powerful hand the Lord brought you out from this place. (C)And nothing leavened shall be eaten. On this day in the (D)month of Abib, you are about to go forth. It shall be when the Lord (E)brings you to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, which (F)He swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, (G)that you shall [c]observe this rite in this month. For (H)seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the Lord. Unleavened bread shall be eaten throughout the seven days; and (I)nothing leavened shall be seen [d]among you, nor shall any leaven be seen [e]among you in all your borders. (J)You shall tell your son on that day, saying, ‘It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’ And (K)it shall [f]serve as a sign to you on your hand, and as a reminder [g]on your forehead, that the law of the Lord may be in your mouth; for with (L)a powerful hand the Lord brought you out of Egypt. 10 Therefore, you shall (M)keep this ordinance at its appointed time from [h]year to year.

Matthew 16:5-12

And the disciples came to the other side of the sea, but they had forgotten to bring any bread. And Jesus said to them, “Watch out and (A)beware of the [a]leaven of the (B)Pharisees and Sadducees.” They began to discuss this among themselves, saying, “He said that because we did not bring any bread.” But Jesus, aware of this, said, (C)You men of little faith, why do you discuss among yourselves that you have no bread? Do you not yet understand or remember (D)the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets full you picked up? 10 Or (E)the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many large baskets full you picked up? 11 How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread? But (F)beware of the [b]leaven of the (G)Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12 Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the (H)Pharisees and Sadducees.
