Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
23 Still, He had commanded the clouds above, and had opened the doors of Heaven,
24 and had rained down manna upon them to eat and had given them of the wheat of Heaven.
25 Man ate the bread of angels. He sent them food enough.
26 He caused the east wind to pass in the sky; and through His power He brought in the south wind.
27 He also rained flesh upon them as dust, and feathered fowl as the sand of the sea.
28 And He made it fall in the midst of their camp, all around their habitations.
29 So they ate and were well-filled; for He gave them their desire.
43 Also, the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the Law of the Passover: No stranger shall eat thereof.
44 “But, every servant that is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
45 “A stranger or a hired servant shall not eat thereof.
46 “It shall be eaten in one house. You shall carry none of the flesh out of the house, nor shall you break a bone thereof.
47 “All the Congregation of Israel shall observe it.
48 “But, if a stranger who dwells with you wishes to observe the Passover of the LORD, let him circumcise all the males who belong to him; and then let him come and observe it. And he shall be as one who was born in the land. For no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
49 “One Law shall be for him who is born in the land and to the stranger who dwells among you.”
50 Then all the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron. So did they.
51 And that same day, the LORD brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
13 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Sanctify to Me all the firstborn (each one among the children of Israel who first opens the womb), both of man and of beast. It is Mine.”
27 Therefore, whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink the cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be liable to the body and blood of the Lord.
28 Let every man therefore examine himself, and so let him eat of this bread, and drink of this cup.
29 For whoever eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks his own damnation, not discerning the Lord’s body.
30 For this reason, many among you are weak, and sick, and many sleep.
31 For if we were to judge ourselves, we would not be judged.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, because we would not be condemned with the world.
33 Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34 And if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, that you do not come together to condemnation. I will set other things in order when I come.
