¹⁰ All thy works shall praise thee, Jehovah, and thy saints shall bless thee.

¹¹ They shall tell of the glory of thy kingdom, and speak of thy power;

¹² To make known to the children of men his mighty acts, and the glorious splendour of his kingdom.

¹³ Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all ages, and thy dominion is throughout all generations.

¹⁴ Jehovah upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all that are bowed down.

¹⁵ The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their food in its season.

¹⁶ Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

¹⁷ Jehovah is righteous in all his ways, and kind in all his works.

¹⁸ Jehovah is nigh unto all that call upon him, unto all that call upon him in truth.

¹⁹ And he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was ploughing [with] twelve yokes before him, and he with the twelfth; and Elijah went over to him, and cast his mantle on him.

²⁰ And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and I will follow thee. And he said to him, Go back again; for what have I done to thee?

²¹ And he returned back from him, and took the yoke of oxen, and killed them, and boiled their flesh with the implements of the oxen, and gave to the people, and they ate. And he arose and went after Elijah, and ministered to him.

⁹ For this reason *we* also, from the day we heard [of your faith and love], do not cease praying and asking for you, to the end that ye may be filled with the full knowledge of his will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

¹⁰ [so as] to walk worthily of the Lord unto all well-pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing by the true knowledge of God;

¹¹ strengthened with all power according to the might of his glory unto all endurance and longsuffering with joy;

¹² giving thanks to the Father, who has made us fit for sharing the portion of the saints in light,

¹³ who has delivered us from the authority of darkness, and translated [us] into the kingdom of the Son of his love:

¹⁴ in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins;
