110 The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
2 The LORD shall send the rod of Your power out of Zion. Be ruler in the midst of Your enemies.
3 Your people shall come willingly at the time of assembling Your army in Holy beauty. The youth of Your womb shall be as the morning dew.
4 The LORD swore, and will not repent, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord at Your right hand shall wound kings on the day of His wrath.
6 He shall be judge among the heathen. He shall fill all with dead bodies and strike the leaders of great countries.
7 He shall drink from the brook on the way. Therefore, He shall lift up His head. Praise the LORD
3 My son, do not forget my Law. But let your heart keep my commandments.
2 For they shall increase the length of your days and the years of life, and your peace.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you. Bind them on your neck and write them upon the tablet of your heart.
4 So shall you find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart. And lean not to your own wisdom.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your ways.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes. But fear the LORD and depart from evil.
8 So, health shall be to your core, and marrow to your bones.
9 Honor the LORD with your riches, and with the firstfruits of all your increase.
10 So shall your barns be filled with abundance. And your presses shall burst with new wine.
11 My son, do not refuse the chastening of the LORD, nor be grieved with His correction.
12 For the LORD corrects him whom He loves, even as the father does the child in whom he delights.
11 Do not speak evil of one another, brothers. The one who speaks evil of his brother, or the one who condemns his brother, speaks evil of the Law, and condemns the Law. And if you condemn the Law, you are not an observer of the Law, but a judge.
12 There is one Lawgiver, Who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?
13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into a certain city and continue there a year and buy and sell and gain a profit.”
14 And yet, you cannot say what shall happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is but a vapor that appears for a little time and afterward vanishes away.
15 Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, and if we live, we will do this or that”.
16 But now you exult in your boastings. All such boasting is evil.
17 Therefore, to him who knows how to do well, and does not do so, to him it is sin.
