³⁵耶稣对他们说：“我就是生命的粮。到我这里来的人，绝不饥饿；信我的人，永不干渴。 ³⁶但是我告诉过你们，你们虽然看到了我^[a]，还是不信。 ³⁷凡是父赐给我的人，都会到我这里来，而到我这里来的人，我绝不丢弃^[b]， ³⁸因为我从天上降下来，不是要行自己的意思，而是要行那派我来者的意思。 ³⁹那派我来者^[c]的旨意，就是要我不失去他赐给我的任何人，而且要我在末日使他复活。 ⁴⁰要知道，我父^[d]的旨意正是：所有看见子而信他的人都得到永恒的生命，并且在末日，我将要使他复活。”
