¹⁴所以，各位蒙爱的人哪，你们既然等候这些事，就当努力地使自己被神^[a]看做是与他和好、毫无玷污、毫无瑕疵的； ¹⁵并且你们要把我们主的耐心看做救恩，就像我们亲爱的弟兄保罗，照着所赐他的智慧写给你们的那样。 ¹⁶他在所有的信中也都说到这些事。那些没有知识、不坚定的人曲解了他信中一些难懂的地方，正如他们也曲解其他经文，就导致了他们自己的灭亡^[b]。

¹⁷因此，各位蒙爱的人哪，你们既然预先知道了这些，就应该警惕，免得被那些恶人^[c]的迷惑^[d]引入歧途，从自己坚固的地步坠落。 ¹⁸你们要在我们的主、救主耶稣基督的恩典和知识中不断长进。愿荣耀归于他，从现在直到永远之日！阿们。^[e]
