Exodus 38

38 ¶ And he made the altar of burnt offering of cedar wood: five cubits was its length and five cubits its breadth; it was square, and its height was three cubits.

And he made its horns on the four corners of it; its horns were of the same piece; and he covered it with brass.

He made likewise all the vessels of the altar: the pots and the shovels and the basins and the fleshhooks, and the firepans; all its vessels he made of brass.

And he made for the altar the brasen grate of network under the circumference thereof beneath unto the midst of it.

He also cast four rings for the four ends of the grate of brass, to be places for the staves.

And he made the staves of cedar wood and covered them with brass.

And he put the staves into the rings on the sides of the altar, to bear it with; he made the altar hollow with boards.

He also made the laver of brass and the base of it of brass, of the looking glasses of the women who were vigilant at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

¶ He made the court likewise; on the south side towards the Negev the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, one hundred cubits;

10 their pillars were twenty with their twenty brasen sockets; the capitals of the pillars and their fillets were of silver.

11 And for the side of the Aquilon, the hangings were one hundred cubits, their pillars twenty with their twenty sockets of brass, the capitals of the pillars and their fillets of silver.

12 On the west side were hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten and their sockets ten, the capitals of the pillars and their fillets of silver,

13 and for the east side eastward fifty cubits

14 the hangings of the one side fifteen cubits, their pillars three, and their sockets three;

15 and for the other side of the court gate, on this hand and that hand, were hangings of fifteen cubits, their pillars three and their sockets three.

16 All the hangings of the court round about were of fine twined linen.

17 And the sockets for the pillars were of brass, the capitals of the pillars and their fillets of silver and the coverings of their heads of silver; likewise all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver.

18 And the hanging for the gate of the court was needlework of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen; twenty cubits was the length, and the height in the breadth was five cubits, the same as the hangings of the court.

19 And its pillars were four with its four sockets of brass, their capitals of silver, and the coverings of their heads and their fillets of silver.

20 And all the stakes of the tabernacle and of the court round about were of brass.

21 ¶ This is the sum of the tabernacle, even of the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the ministry of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest.

22 And Bezaleel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the LORD commanded Moses.

23 And with him was Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, a master workman, an engineer, and an embroiderer in blue and in purple and in scarlet and fine linen.

24 All the gold that was occupied for the work in all the work of the sanctuary, which was gold of offering, was twenty-nine talents and seven hundred and thirty shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.

25 And the silver of those that were numbered of the congregation was one hundred talents and one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary:

26 A half per head, that is, half a shekel, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, which were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.

27 And of the hundred talents of silver were cast the sockets of the sanctuary and the sockets of the veil: one hundred sockets of the hundred talents, a talent for a socket.

28 And of the thousand seven hundred seventy-five shekels he made the capitals for the pillars and covered their heads and filleted them.

29 And the brass of the offering was seventy talents and two thousand four hundred shekels,

30 with which he made the sockets to the door of the tabernacle of the testimony and the brasen altar and the brasen grate for it and all the vessels of the altar

31 and the sockets of the court round about and the sockets of the court gate and all the stakes of the tabernacle, and all the stakes of the court round about.

John 17

17 ¶ Jesus spoke these words and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; clarify thy Son, that thy Son may also clarify thee,

as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

I have clarified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou didst give me to do.

And now, O Father, clarify thou me with thine own self with that clarity which I had with thee before the world was.

¶ I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou didst give me out of the world; thine they were, and thou didst give them me; and they have kept thy word.

Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

I pray for them; I do not pray for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine.

10 And all my things are thine, and thine are mine; and I have been clarified in them.

11 ¶ And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, those whom thou hast given me, keep them in thy name, that they may be one, as we are.

12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name; those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13 And now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

14 I have given them thy word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

15 I do not pray that thou should take them out of the world, but that thou should keep them from the evil.

16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17 ¶ Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is the truth.

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified in the truth.

20 ¶ Neither do I pray for these alone, but also for those who shall believe in me through their word;

21 that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22 And the clarity which thou gavest me I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one:

23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfect in one and that the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them as thou hast loved me.

24 ¶ Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am, that they may behold my clarity, which thou hast given me, for thou hast loved me from before the foundation of the world.

25 O righteous Father, the world has not known thee; but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

26 And I have manifested unto them thy name and will manifest it still, that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Proverbs 14

14 ¶ Every wise woman builds her house, but the foolish plucks it down with her hands.

¶ He that walks in his uprightness fears the LORD, but he that is perverse in his ways despises him.

¶ In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride, but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

¶ Without oxen, the storehouse is clean, but by the strength of the ox there is abundance of bread.

¶ The true witness will not lie, but the false witness will utter lies.

¶ The scorner sought wisdom and found it not, but wisdom comes easy unto him that understands.

¶ Go from the presence of the foolish man when thou dost not perceive in him the lips of knowledge.

¶ The wisdom of the sane is to understand his way, but the folly of fools is deceit.

¶ Fools speak sin unto themselves, but among the righteous there is love.

10 ¶ The heart knows the bitterness of his soul, and a stranger shall not intermeddle with his joy.

11 ¶ The house of the wicked shall be made desolate, but the tent of the upright shall flourish.

12 ¶ There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

13 ¶ Even in laughter, the scorner has pain in his heart, and the end of that mirth is heaviness.

14 ¶ The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, and the good man shall be separated from him.

15 ¶ The simple believes every word, but the prudent man understands his steps.

16 ¶ The wise man fears and departs from evil, but the fool rages and is confident.

17 He that is soon angry shall deal foolishly, and the man of wicked devices shall be hated.

18 ¶ The simple shall inherit folly, but the prudent shall be crowned with wisdom.

19 ¶ Those who are evil shall bow before those who are good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

20 ¶ The poor is hated even of his own neighbour, but many are those who love the rich.

21 ¶ The sinner despises his neighbour, but he that has mercy on the poor is blessed.

22 ¶ Do they not err that meditate upon evil? but those that meditate upon good shall attain mercy and truth.

23 ¶ In all labour there is fruit, but to talk and not do, brings poverty.

24 ¶ The crown of the wise is their wisdom, but that which distinguishes fools is their folly.

25 ¶ The true witness delivers souls, but the deceitful one speaks lies.

26 ¶ In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence, and there his sons shall have hope.

27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

28 ¶ In the multitude of the people is the king’s glory, but in the failure of the people is the weakness of the prince.

29 ¶ He that is slow to wrath is of great intelligence, but he that is short of spirit exalts folly.

30 ¶ A sound heart is life to the flesh, but envy is rottenness of the bones.

31 ¶ He that oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, but he that has mercy on the poor, honours him.

32 ¶ For his wickedness shall the wicked be cast out, but the righteous in his death has hope.

33 ¶ Wisdom shall rest in the heart of him that is sane and is made known in the midst of the fools.

34 ¶ Righteousness exalts a people, but sin is a reproach to the nations.

35 ¶ The king’s favour is toward the wise slave, but his wrath is against him that causes shame.

Philippians 1

¶ Paul and Timothy, slaves of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

¶ I thank my God upon every remembrance of you

always in every prayer of mine for you all, making request with joy,

for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,

being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.

¶ Even as it is right for me to think this of you all because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are joint partakers of my grace.

For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

¶ And this I pray that your charity may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all perception,

10 that ye may approve the best, that ye may be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ,

11 being filled with fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

12 ¶ But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel,

13 so that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace and in all other places;

14 and many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

15 Some indeed preach the Christ even out of envy and strife, but others also out of good will.

16 Some preach the Christ out of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add tribulation to my bonds,

17 but the others out of charity, knowing that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel.

18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretense, or in truth, Christ is preached, and I therein do rejoice, and will even rejoice.

19 For I know that this shall become my saving health through your prayer and the nourishment of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

20 according to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death.

21 ¶ For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour, yet I do not know what to choose.

23 For I am in a strait between the two, having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, which is far better:

24 nevertheless, to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith,

26 that your glorying in Jesus Christ may be more abundant by my coming to you again.

27 ¶ Only let your conversation be as is worthy of the gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, unanimous, working together for the faith of the gospel,

28 and in nothing terrified by your adversaries, which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of saving health and that of God.

29 For unto you it is granted regarding Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake,

30 having the same conflict which ye saw in me and now hear to be in me.
