M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
35 ¶ And Moses gathered all the congregation of the sons of Israel together and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD has commanded that ye should do them.
2 Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day shall be holy unto you, a sabbath of rest to the LORD; whoever does work therein shall die.
3 Ye shall kindle no fire in any of your habitations upon the sabbath day.
4 And Moses spoke unto all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying, This is what the LORD commanded, saying,
5 Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD; whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD: gold, silver, brass;
6 blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair;
7 rams’ skins dyed red, badgers’ skins, cedar wood;
8 oil for the light, spices for anointing oil and for the aromatic incense;
9 onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod, and for the pectoral.
10 And everyone that is wise hearted among you shall come and make all that the LORD has commanded:
11 The tabernacle, its tent, and its covering, its hooks, and its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets;
12 the ark and its staves, the seat of reconciliation, and the veil of the tent,
13 the table and its staves and all its vessels, and the showbread;
14 the lampstand also for the light and its vessels and its lamps, and the oil for the light;
15 and the altar of incense and its staves, and the anointing oil, and the aromatic incense, and the hanging for the door at the entrance of the tabernacle,
16 the altar of burnt offering with its brasen grate, its staves, and all its vessels, the laver and its base,
17 the hangings of the court, its pillars, and their sockets, and the hanging for the door of the court,
18 the stakes of the tabernacle and the stakes of the court, and their cords,
19 the clothing of service to minister in the sanctuary, that is, the holy garments of Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons to serve in the priesthood.
20 ¶ And all the congregation of the sons of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.
21 And they came, every man whose heart stirred him up, and every one whose spirit made them willing, and they brought the LORD’s offering for the work of the tabernacle of the testimony and for all his service and for the holy garments.
22 And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought chains and earrings, rings and bracelets, and all jewels of gold; and anyone that offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.
23 Every man who had blue or purple or scarlet or fine linen or goats’ hair or red skins of rams or badgers’ skins brought them.
24 Anyone that offered an offering of silver or brass brought the offering unto the LORD; and every man, with whom was found cedar wood, brought it for all the work of the service.
25 And all the women that were wise hearted spun with their hands and brought that which they had spun: blue or purple or scarlet or fine linen.
26 And all the women whose heart lifted them up in wisdom spun goats’ hair.
27 And the princes brought onyx stones and the stones to be set for the ephod and for the pectoral;
28 and aromatic spice and oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the aromatic incense.
29 Of the sons of Israel, men and women, all that had a willing heart to bring for all the work, which the Lord had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses, brought a voluntary offering unto the LORD.
30 ¶ And Moses said unto the sons of Israel, See, the LORD has named Bezaleel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;
31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in intelligence, in science, and in all manner of workmanship;
32 to invent and devise, to work in gold and in silver and in brass,
33 and in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.
34 And he has put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.
35 And he has filled them with wisdom of heart to work all manner of work of the engraver and of the cunning workman and of the embroiderer, in blue and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver: that they may do any work, and invent every design.
14 ¶ Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 ¶ So that ye know where I go, and ye know the way.
5 Thomas said unto him, Lord, we know not where thou goest; how, therefore, can we know the way?
6 Jesus said unto him, I AM the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also; and from now on ye know him and have seen him.
8 Philip said unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it will suffice us.
9 Jesus said unto him, Have I been such a long time with you, and yet thou hast not known me, Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself; but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me, or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 ¶ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes in me, the works that I do he shall do also; and greater works than these shall he do because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 ¶ If ye love me, keep my commandments;
16 and I will ask the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever,
17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see him, or know him; but ye know him, for he dwells with you and shall be in you.
18 ¶ I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world shall see me no more, but ye shall see me; because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me; and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas, not Iscariot, said unto him, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, He who loves me will keep my words, and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him and dwell with him.
24 He that does not love me does not keep my words, and the word which ye have heard is not mine, but of the Father who sent me.
25 ¶ I have spoken these things unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all the things that I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 ¶ Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice because I said, I go unto the Father; for my Father is greater than I.
29 And now I have told you before it comes to pass, that when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you, for the prince of this world comes and has nothing in me.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go from here.
11 ¶ A false balance is abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is his delight.
2 ¶ When pride comes, then comes shame, but with the humble is wisdom.
3 ¶ The perfection of the upright shall guide them in the way, but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
4 ¶ Riches shall not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness shall deliver from death.
5 ¶ The righteousness of the perfect shall straighten his way, but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but transgressors shall be imprisoned in their own sin.
7 ¶ When the wicked man dies, his hope perishes, and the hope of unjust men shall perish.
8 ¶ The righteous is delivered out of the tribulation, and the wicked takes his place.
9 ¶ The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbour, but the just are delivered with wisdom.
10 ¶ When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish, there are feasts.
11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 ¶ He that is void of understanding despises his neighbour, but the intelligent man remains silent.
13 A talebearer reveals secrets, but he that is of a faithful spirit conceals the matter.
14 ¶ When intelligence is lacking, the people shall fall, but in the multitude of counsellors there is salvation.
15 ¶ With anxiety shall he that is surety for a stranger be afflicted, and he that hates suretiship shall live securely.
16 ¶ The gracious woman retains honour, and strong men retain riches.
17 ¶ The merciful man does good to his own soul, but the cruel man troubles his own flesh.
18 ¶ The wicked works a deceitful work, but to him that sows righteousness shall be a sure reward.
19 ¶ As righteousness is unto life, so he that pursues evil pursues it unto his own death.
20 ¶ They that are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the LORD, but such as are perfect in their way are his delight.
21 ¶ No matter how many covenants he has made with death, the wicked shall not be absolved, but the seed of the righteous shall escape.
22 ¶ As a gold ring in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
23 ¶ The desire of the righteous is only good, but the hope of the wicked is wrath.
24 ¶ There are those who scatter, and more is added unto them; and there are those who withhold more than is just, but come to poverty.
25 ¶ The soul who is a blessing unto others shall be made fat, and he that fills shall be filled also himself.
26 ¶ He that withholds the grain, the people shall curse him, but blessing shall be upon the head of him that sells it.
27 ¶ He that seeks good early shall find favour, but unto him that seeks evil, it shall come upon him.
28 ¶ He that trusts in his riches shall fall, but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
29 ¶ He that troubles his own house shall inherit the wind, and the fool shall be slave to the wise of heart.
30 ¶ The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that wins souls is wise.
31 ¶ The righteous shall certainly be recompensed in the earth; how much more the wicked and the sinner!
4 ¶ I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation with which ye are called,
2 ¶ with all humility and meekness, with tolerance, forbearing one another in love,
3 being diligent to guard the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling,
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all, and in you all.
7 But unto each one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of the Christ.
8 Therefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all the heavens, that he might fulfill all things.)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers,
12 for the perfecting of the saints in the work of the ministry, unto the edifying of the body of the Christ
13 until we all come forth in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the coming of age of the Christ:
14 That we no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive,
15 but following the truth in charity, let us grow up into him in all things, who is the head, the Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and well tied together among itself by the nourishment that every connecting bond supplies, by the operation of each member according to measure they have received, making increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in charity.
17 ¶ This I say, therefore, and require in the Lord that from now on ye not walk as the other Gentiles walk in the vanity of their own senses,
18 having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them because of the blindness of their heart,
19 who, after losing all sense of feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But ye have not so learned of the Christ,
21 if so be that ye have heard him and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus,
22 that ye put off everything concerning the old way of life, that is, the old man who corrupts himself according to deceitful desires,
23 and be renewed in the spirit of your understanding
24 and that ye put on the new man, which is created in conformity to God in righteousness and in the holiness of the truth.
25 Therefore, leaving the lie, speak every man truth with his neighbour, for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry and sin not; let not the sun go down upon your wrath,
27 neither give place to the devil.
28 Let him that stole steal no more, but rather let him labour, working with his hands that which is good, that he may have to give to him that is in need.
29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good for edification, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God with which ye are sealed for the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and evil speaking be taken away from you, with all malice,
32 and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God has forgiven you in Christ.
