Book of Common Prayer
Yahweh Reigns Forevermore
93 (A)Yahweh [a]reigns, He is (B)clothed with majesty;
Yahweh has (C)clothed and girded Himself with strength;
Indeed, the (D)world is established, it will not be shaken.
2 Your (E)throne is established from of old;
You (F)are from everlasting.
3 The (G)rivers have lifted up, O Yahweh,
The rivers have lifted up their voice,
The rivers lift up their pounding waves.
4 More than the voices of many waters,
Than the mighty breakers of the sea,
Yahweh (H)on high is mighty.
5 Your (I)testimonies are very faithful;
(J)Holiness befits Your house,
O Yahweh, [b]forevermore.
Ascribe to Yahweh Glory and Strength
96 (A)Sing to Yahweh a (B)new song;
Sing to Yahweh, all the earth.
2 Sing to Yahweh, bless His name;
(C)Proclaim good news of His salvation from day to day.
3 Recount (D)His glory among the nations,
His wondrous deeds among all the peoples.
4 For (E)great is Yahweh and (F)greatly to be praised;
He is [a]more [b](G)fearsome (H)than all gods.
5 For (I)all the gods of the peoples are [c]idols,
But (J)Yahweh made the heavens.
6 (K)Splendor and majesty are before Him,
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
7 [d]Ascribe to Yahweh, O (L)families of the peoples,
[e](M)Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.
8 Ascribe to Yahweh the (N)glory of His name;
Lift up [f]an (O)offering and come into His courts.
9 (P)Worship Yahweh in the splendor of holiness;
(Q)Tremble before Him, all the earth.
10 Say among the nations, “(R)Yahweh [g]reigns;
Indeed, the (S)world is established, it will not be shaken;
He will (T)render justice to the peoples with [h]equity.”
11 Let the (U)heavens be glad, and let the (V)earth rejoice;
Let (W)the sea [i]roar, as well as its fullness;
12 Let the (X)field exult, and all that is in it.
Then all the (Y)trees of the forest will sing for joy
13 Before Yahweh, (Z)for He is coming,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
(AA)He will judge the world in righteousness
And the peoples in His faithfulness.

Yahweh Revives the Spirit of the Lowly
14 And it will be said,
“(A)Build up, build up, prepare the way,
[a]Remove every stumbling block out of the way of My people.”
15 For thus says the One (B)high and lifted up
Who (C)dwells forever, whose name is Holy,
“I (D)dwell on a high and holy place,
And also with the (E)crushed and lowly of spirit
In order to (F)revive the spirit of the lowly
And to revive the heart of the crushed.
16 For I will (G)not contend forever,
(H)Nor will I always be angry;
For the spirit would grow faint before Me,
And the (I)breath of those whom I have made.
17 Because of the iniquity of his (J)greedy gain I was angry and struck him;
I hid My face and was angry,
And he went on (K)turning away, in the way of his heart.
18 I have seen his ways, but I will (L)heal him;
I will (M)lead him and (N)pay him and his mourners in full with comfort,
19 Creating the [b](O)praise of the lips.
(P)Peace, peace to him who is (Q)far and to him who is near,”
Says Yahweh, “and I will heal him.”
20 But the (R)wicked are like the tossing sea,
For it cannot be quiet,
And its waters toss up refuse and mud.
21 “(S)There is no peace,” says (T)my God, “for the wicked.”
Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of Faith
12 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, (A)laying aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, let us (B)run with (C)endurance the race that is set before us, 2 [a]fixing our eyes on Jesus, the [b](D)author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him (E)endured the cross, (F)despising the shame, and has (G)sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For (H)consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary, (I)fainting [c]in heart.
The Father’s Discipline
4 (J)You have not yet resisted [d](K)to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin. 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,
37 Now on (A)the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “[a](B)If anyone is thirsty, [b]let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, (C)as the Scripture said, ‘From [c]his innermost being will flow rivers of (D)living water.’” 39 But this He spoke (E)of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were going to receive; for (F)the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet (G)glorified.
Division of People over Jesus
40 Some of the crowd therefore, when they heard these words, were saying, “This truly is (H)the Prophet.” 41 Others were saying, “This is the [d]Christ.” Still others were saying, “(I)No, for is the [e]Christ going to come from Galilee? 42 Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from (J)the seed of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?” 43 So (K)a division occurred in the crowd because of Him. 44 (L)Some of them were wanting to seize Him, but no one laid hands on Him.
45 The (M)officers then came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, “Why did you not bring Him?” 46 The (N)officers answered, “(O)Never has a man spoken like this!”
