Names of God Bible (NOG)
Version
Psalm 113

Psalm 113

Hallelujah!

You servants of Yahweh, praise him.
    Praise the name of Yahweh.
Thank the name of Yahweh now and forever.
From where the sun rises to where the sun sets,
the name of Yahweh should be praised.
Yahweh is high above all the nations.
His glory is above the heavens.
Who is like Yahweh our Elohim?
He is seated on his high throne.
He bends down to look at heaven and earth.
He lifts the poor from the dust.
He lifts the needy from a garbage heap.
He seats them with influential people,
with the influential leaders of his people.
He makes a woman who is in a childless home
    a joyful mother.

Hallelujah!

Psalm 115

Psalm 115

Don’t give glory to us, O Yahweh.
    Don’t give glory to us.
Instead, give glory to your name
because of your mercy and faithfulness.
Why should other nations say, “Where is their Elohim?”
Our Elohim is in heaven.
    He does whatever he wants.
Their idols are made of silver and gold.
They were made by human hands.[a]
They have mouths, but they cannot speak.
They have eyes, but they cannot see.
They have ears, but they cannot hear.
They have noses, but they cannot smell.
They have hands, but they cannot feel.
They have feet, but they cannot walk.
They cannot even make a sound with their throats.
Those who make idols end up like them.
So does everyone who trusts them.

Israel, trust Yahweh.
He is your helper and your Magen.
10 Descendants of Aaron, trust Yahweh.
He is your helper and your Magen.
11 If you fear Yahweh, trust Yahweh.
He is your helper and your Magen.

12 Yahweh, who is always thinking about us, will bless us.
He will bless the descendants of Israel.
He will bless the descendants of Aaron.
13 He will bless those who fear Yahweh,
from the least important to the most important.
14 May Yahweh continue to bless you and your children.
15 You will be blessed by Yahweh, the maker of heaven and earth.
16 The highest heaven belongs to Yahweh,
but he has given the earth to the descendants of Adam.
17 Those who are dead do not praise Yah,
nor do those who go into the silence of the grave.
18 But we will thank Yah now and forever.

Hallelujah!

1 Samuel 2:1-10

Hannah’s Prayer

Hannah prayed out loud,

“My heart finds joy in Yahweh.
My head is lifted to Yahweh.
My mouth mocks my enemies.
I rejoice because you saved me.
There is no one holy like Yahweh.
There is no one but you, O Lord.
There is no Tsur like our Elohim.

“Do not boast
or let arrogance come out of your mouth
because Yahweh is an El of knowledge,
            and he weighs our actions.

“The bows of the warriors are broken,
but those who stumble are armed with strength.
Those who were well-fed hire themselves out for a piece of bread,
but those who were hungry hunger no more.
Even the woman who was childless gives birth to seven children,
but the mother of many children grieves all alone.

Yahweh kills, and he gives life.
He makes people go down to the grave, and he raises them up again.
Yahweh causes poverty and grants wealth.
He humbles people; he also promotes them.
He raises the poor from the dust.
He lifts the needy from the trash heap
in order to make them sit with nobles
and even to make them inherit a glorious throne.

“The pillars of the earth are Yahweh’s.
He has set the world on them.
He safeguards the steps of his faithful ones,
but wicked people are silenced in darkness
because humans cannot succeed by their own strength.

10 “Those who oppose Yahweh are broken into pieces.
He thunders at them from the heavens.
Yahweh judges the ends of the earth.
He gives strength to his King
and lifts the head of his Messiah.”[a]

John 2:1-12

Jesus Changes Water into Wine

Three days later a wedding took place in the city of Cana in Galilee. Yeshua’s mother was there. Yeshua and his disciples had been invited too.

When the wine was gone, Yeshua’s mother said to him, “They’re out of wine.”

Yeshua said to her, “Why did you come to me? My time has not yet come.”

His mother told the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Six stone water jars were there. They were used for Jewish purification rituals. Each jar held 18 to 27 gallons.

Yeshua told the servers, “Fill the jars with water.” The servers filled the jars to the brim. Yeshua said to them, “Pour some, and take it to the person in charge.” The servers did as they were told.

The person in charge tasted the water that had become wine. He didn’t know where it had come from, although the servers who had poured the water knew. The person in charge called the groom 10 and said to him, “Everyone serves the best wine first. When people are drunk, the host serves cheap wine. But you have saved the best wine for now.”

11 Cana in Galilee was the place where Yeshua began to perform miracles. He made his glory public there, and his disciples believed in him.

12 After this, Yeshua, his mother, brothers, and disciples went to the city of Capernaum and stayed there for a few days.

Psalm 45

Psalm 45

For the choir director; according to shoshannim;[a] a maskil by Korah’s descendants; a love song.

My heart is overflowing with good news.
I will direct my song to the king.
My tongue is a pen for a skillful writer.

You are the most handsome of Adam’s descendants.
Grace is poured on your lips.
That is why Elohim has blessed you forever.
O warrior, strap your sword to your side
    with your splendor and majesty.
Ride on victoriously in your majesty
for the cause of truth, humility, and righteousness.
Let your right hand teach you awe-inspiring things.
Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies.
    Nations fall beneath you.
Your throne, O Elohim, is forever and ever.
The scepter in your kingdom is a scepter for justice.
You have loved what is right and hated what is wrong.
That is why Elohim, your Elohim, has anointed you,
rather than your companions, with the oil of joy.
All your robes are fragrant with myrrh, aloes, and cassia.
From ivory palaces the music of stringed instruments delights you.
The daughters of kings are among your noble ladies.
The queen takes her place at your right hand
    and wears gold from Ophir.

10 Listen, daughter! Look closely!
    Turn your ear toward me.
Forget your people, and forget your father’s house.
11 The king longs for your beauty.
    He is your Lord.
        Worship him.

12 The people of Tyre, the richest people,
want to win your favor with a gift.
13 The daughter of the king is glorious inside the palace.
Her dress is embroidered with gold.
14 Wearing a colorful gown, she is brought to the king.
    Her bridesmaids follow her.
They will be brought to you.
15 With joy and delight they are brought in.
They enter the palace of the king.

16 Your sons will take the place of your father.
You will make them princes over the whole earth.

17 I will cause your name to be remembered throughout every generation.
That is why the nations will give thanks to you forever and ever.

Psalm 138

Psalm 138

By David.

I will give thanks to you with all my heart.
I will make music to praise you in front of the false gods.
I will bow toward your holy temple.
I will give thanks to your name because of your mercy and truth.
You have made your name and your promise greater than everything.

When I called, you answered me.
You made me bold by strengthening my soul.[a]
All the kings of the earth will give thanks to you, O Yahweh,
because they have heard the promises you spoke.
They will sing this about the ways of Yahweh:
            Yahweh’s honor is great!”
Even though Yahweh is high above, he sees humble people close up,
and he recognizes arrogant people from a distance.

Even though I walk into the middle of trouble,
you guard my life against the anger of my enemies.
    You stretch out your hand,
and your right hand saves me.
Yahweh will do everything for me.
O Yahweh, your mercy endures forever.
Do not let go of what your hands have made.

Psalm 149

Psalm 149

Hallelujah!

Sing a new song to Yahweh.
Sing his praise in the assembly of godly people.
Let Israel find joy in their creator.
Let the people of Zion rejoice over their Melek.
Let them praise his name with dancing.
Let them make music to him with tambourines and lyres,
because Yahweh takes pleasure in his people.
He crowns those who are oppressed with victory.
Let godly people triumph in glory.
Let them sing for joy on their beds.
Let the high praises of El be in their throats
and two-edged swords in their hands
to take vengeance on the nations,
to punish the people of the world,
to put their kings in chains
and their leaders in iron shackles,
to carry out the judgment that is written against them.
This is an honor that belongs to all his godly ones.

Hallelujah!

John 19:23-27

23 When the soldiers had crucified Yeshua, they took his clothes and divided them four ways so that each soldier could have a share. His robe was left over. It didn’t have a seam because it had been woven in one piece from top to bottom. 24 The soldiers said to each other, “Let’s not rip it apart. Let’s throw dice to see who will get it.” In this way the Scripture came true: “They divided my clothes among themselves. They threw dice for my clothing.” So that’s what the soldiers did.

25 Yeshua’s mother, her sister, Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary from Magdala were standing beside Yeshua’s cross. 26 Yeshua saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing there. He said to his mother, “Look, here’s your son!” 27 Then he said to the disciple, “Look, here’s your mother!”

From that time on she lived with that disciple in his home.
