¹ ¶ The LORD reigns; he has clothed himself with majesty; the LORD has clothed himself with strength; he has girded himself: he has established the world also, that it cannot be moved.

² From this time on, thy throne shall never be moved; thou art eternal.

³ The rivers have lifted up, O LORD; the rivers have lifted up their voice; the rivers lift up their waves.

⁴ The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.

⁵ Thy testimonies are very sure; holiness becomes thy house, O LORD, for ever.

A Psalm.

¹ ¶ O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he has done marvellous things; his right hand has gotten him the victory, even the arm of his holiness.

² The LORD has made known his saving health; he has openly showed his righteousness in the sight of the Gentiles.

³ He has remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the saving health of our God.

⁴ ¶ Sing with joy unto the LORD, all the earth; lift up thy voice and rejoice and sing praises.

⁵ Sing praises unto the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the voice of a song.

⁶ With trumpets and the sound of the shofar make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.

⁷ Let the sea roar and the fullness thereof, the world and those that dwell therein.

⁸ Let the rivers clap their hands; let the mountains be joyful together

⁹ before the LORD; for he has come to judge the earth; with righteousness he shall judge the world and the peoples with equity.

To the Overcomer, A Song or Psalm.

¹ ¶ Make a joyful noise unto God, all the earth;

² sing forth the glory of his name; put glory into thy praise.

³ Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

⁴ All the earth shall worship thee and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

⁵ Come and see the works of God; he is terrible in his doing toward the sons of men.

⁶ He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot; there did we rejoice in him.

⁷ He rules by his power for ever; his eyes watch the Gentiles; the rebellious shall not exalt themselves. Selah.

⁸ ¶ O bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard.

⁹ It is he who placed our soul into life and did not suffer our feet to slip.

¹⁰ For thou, O God, hast proved us; thou hast refined us as silver is refined.

¹¹ Thou didst bring us into the net; thou didst lay affliction upon our loins.

¹² Thou hast placed a man over our head; we went through fire and through water, but thou didst bring us out into abundance.

¹³ ¶ I will go into thy house with burnt offerings; I will pay thee my vows,

¹⁴ which my lips have uttered and my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.

¹⁵ I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

¹⁶ Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he has done unto my soul.

¹⁷ I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

¹⁸ If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

¹⁹ But verily God has heard me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.

²⁰ Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer nor his mercy from me.

¹⁴ And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it as a feast unto the LORD throughout your ages; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.

¹⁵ Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

¹⁶ And in the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, except that which every person must eat, that only may be done of you.

¹⁷ And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread, for in this same day have I brought your hosts out of the land of Egypt; therefore, shall ye observe this day for your ages by an ordinance forever.

¹⁸ In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, ye shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month in the evening.

¹⁹ For seven days there shall be no leaven found in your houses; for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a stranger or born in the land.

²⁰ Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations ye shall eat unleavened bread.

²¹ ¶ Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said unto them, Draw out and take lambs according to your families and sacrifice the passover.

²² And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin and touch the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.

²³ For the LORD will pass through smiting the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood upon the lintel and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over that door and will not allow the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

²⁴ And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons forever.

²⁵ And it shall come to pass, when ye have entered into the land which the LORD will give you, according as he has promised, that ye shall keep this service.

²⁶ And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What do you mean by this service?

²⁷ That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD’s passover, who passed over the houses of the sons of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians and delivered our houses. Then the people bowed and worshipped.

15 ¶ Moreover, brothers, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received and in which ye stand;

² by which also ye are being saved if ye retain the word that I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

³ For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received: how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures

⁴ and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

⁵ and that he appeared to Cephas and then to the twelve;

⁶ after that, he appeared unto more than five hundred brothers at once, of whom the greater part remain unto now, but some are fallen asleep.

⁷ After that, he appeared unto James; then to all the apostles.

⁸ And last of all he appeared unto me also, as of one born out of due time.

⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, for I am not worthy to be called an apostle because I persecuted the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of God.

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am; and his grace towards me was not in vain, for I laboured more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

¹¹ Therefore, whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

16 ¶ And when the sabbath of the great feast of the passover was past, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, and Salome had bought sweet spices that they might come and anoint him.

² And very early in the morning the first of the sabbaths, they come unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

³ And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

⁴ And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away, for it was very great.

⁵ And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting to the right hand side, covered in a long white garment; and they were frightened.

⁶ But he said unto them, Do not be frightened; Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified; he is risen; he is not here; behold the place where they laid him.

⁷ But go tell his disciples and Peter that he goes before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him as he said unto you.

⁸ And they went out quickly and fled from the sepulchre, for they trembled and were amazed; neither said they any thing to anyone, for they were afraid.
