Glory to God Alone

Not to us, Yahweh, not to us,
but to Your name give glory
because of Your faithful love, because of Your truth.(A)
Why should the nations say,
“Where is their God?”(B)
Our God is in heaven
and does whatever He pleases.(C)

Their idols are silver and gold,
made by human hands.(D)
They have mouths but cannot speak,
eyes, but cannot see.
They have ears but cannot hear,
noses, but cannot smell.(E)
They have hands but cannot feel,
feet, but cannot walk.(F)
They cannot make a sound with their throats.(G)
Those who make them are[a] just like them,

small and great alike.(O)

14 May the Lord add to your numbers,

the Maker of heaven and earth.(Q)
16 The heavens are the Lord’s,[c]

nor any of those descending into the silence of death.(S)
18 But we will praise the Lord,
both now and forever.(T)
Hallelujah!

But I will look to the Lord;(A)
I will wait for the God of my salvation.(B)
My God will hear me.(C)

Zion’s Vindication

Do not rejoice over me,(D) my enemy!
Though I have fallen, I will stand up;(E)
though I sit in darkness,
the Lord will be my light.(F)
Because I have sinned against Him,
I must endure the Lord’s rage
until He argues my case(G)
and establishes justice for me.(H)
He will bring me into the light;(I)
I will see His salvation.[a](J)
10 Then my enemy will see,
and she will be covered with shame,
the one who said to me,
“Where is the Lord your God?”(K)
My eyes will look at her in triumph;
at that time she will be trampled
like mud in the streets.(L)

11 A day will come for rebuilding your walls;(M)
on that day your boundary will be extended.(N)
12 On that day people will come to you(O)
from Assyria and the cities of Egypt,
even from Egypt to the Euphrates River
and from sea to sea
and mountain to mountain.
13 Then the earth will become a wasteland(P)
because of its inhabitants
and as a result of their actions.(Q)

Micah’s Prayer Answered

Let them graze in Bashan and Gilead(U)
as in ancient times.(V)

15 I will perform miracles for them[b]
as in the days of your exodus
from the land of Egypt.(W)

Acts 3:1-10

Healing of a Lame Man

Now Peter and John were going up together to the temple complex at the hour of prayer(A) at three in the afternoon.[a] And a man who was lame from birth was carried there and placed every day at the temple gate called Beautiful, so he could beg from those entering the temple complex.(B) When he saw Peter and John about to enter the temple complex, he asked for help. Peter, along with John, looked at him intently and said, “Look at us.” So he turned to them,[b] expecting to get something from them. But Peter said, “I don’t have silver or gold, but what I have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”(C) Then, taking him by the right hand he raised him up, and at once his feet and ankles became strong. So he jumped up, stood, and started to walk, and he entered the temple complex with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.(D) All the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 and they recognized that he was the one who used to sit and beg at the Beautiful Gate of the temple complex. So they were filled with awe and astonishment at what had happened to him.(E)

John 15:1-11

The Vine and the Branches

15 “I am(A) the true vine, and My Father is the vineyard keeper. Every branch in Me that does not produce fruit He removes,(B) and He prunes every branch that produces fruit so that it will produce more fruit. You are already clean(C) because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me.(D)

“I am the vine;(E) you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit,(F) because you can do nothing without Me. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown aside(G) like a branch and he withers. They gather them, throw them into the fire,(H) and they are burned.(I) If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you.(J) My Father is glorified(K) by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be[a] My disciples.

Christlike Love

“As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Remain in My love.(L) 10 If you keep My commands you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands and remain in His love.(M)

11 “I have spoken these things to you so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.(N)
