His right hand and holy arm
have won Him victory.(B)
The Lord has made His victory known;
He has revealed His righteousness
in the sight of the nations.(C)
He has remembered His love
and faithfulness to the house of Israel;
all the ends of the earth
have seen our God’s victory.(D)

Shout to the Lord, all the earth;
be jubilant, shout for joy, and sing.(E)
Sing to the Lord with the lyre,
with the lyre and melodious song.(F)
With trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn
shout triumphantly
in the presence of the Lord, our King.(G)

Let the sea and all that fills it,
the world and those who live in it, resound.(H)
Let the rivers clap their hands;
let the mountains shout together for joy(I)
before the Lord,
for He is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world righteously
and the peoples fairly.(J)

Come and see the wonders of God;(E)
His acts for humanity are awe-inspiring.
He turned the sea into dry land,

He keeps His eye on the nations.(H)
The rebellious should not exalt themselves.(I)Selah
Praise our God, you peoples;
let the sound of His praise be heard.(J)
He keeps us alive[a]
and does not allow our feet to slip.(K)

10 For You, God, tested us;
You refined us as silver is refined.(L)
11 You lured us into a trap;
You placed burdens on our backs.(M)
12 You let men ride over our heads;
we went through fire and water,
but You brought us out to abundance.[b](N)

13 I will enter Your house with burnt offerings;
I will pay You my vows(O)
14 that my lips promised
and my mouth spoke during my distress.(P)
15 I will offer You fattened sheep as burnt offerings,
with the fragrant smoke of rams;
I will sacrifice oxen with goats.(Q)Selah

16 Come and listen, all who fear God,
and I will tell what He has done for me.(R)
17 I cried out to Him with my mouth,

18 If I had been aware of malice in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened.(T)
19 However, God has listened;
He has paid attention to the sound of my prayer.(U)
20 May God be praised!
He has not turned away my prayer
or turned His faithful love from me.(V)

Acts 2:14

Peter’s Sermon

14 But Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed to them: “Men of Judah and all you residents of Jerusalem, let me explain this[a] to you and pay attention to my words.

Acts 2:22-32

22 “Men of Israel, listen to these words: This Jesus the Nazarene was a man pointed out to you by God with miracles, wonders, and signs that God did among you through Him, just as you yourselves know.(A) 23 Though He was delivered up according to God’s determined plan and foreknowledge, you used[a] lawless people[b] to nail Him to a cross and kill Him.(B) 24 God raised Him up, ending the pains of death,(C) because it was not possible for Him to be held by it. 25 For David says of Him:

I saw the Lord ever before me;
because He is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart was glad,
and my tongue rejoiced.
Moreover, my flesh will rest in hope,
27 because You will not leave me in Hades
or allow Your Holy One to see decay.(D)
28 You have revealed the paths of life to me;
You will fill me with gladness
in Your presence.(E)[c]

29 “Brothers, I can confidently speak to you about the patriarch David: He is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.(F) 30 Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn an oath to him to seat one of his descendants[d][e] on his throne.(G) 31 Seeing this in advance, he spoke concerning the resurrection of the Messiah:

He[f] was not left in Hades,
and His flesh did not experience decay.(H)[g]

32 “God has resurrected(I) this Jesus. We are all witnesses of this.

John 14:1-14

The Way to the Father

14 “Your heart must not be troubled.(A) Believe[a] in God;(B) believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places;[b] if not, I would have told you. I am going away(C) to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back(D) and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also.(E) You know the way to where I am going.”[c](F)

“Lord,” Thomas(G) said, “we don’t know where You’re going. How can we know the way?”

Jesus told him, “I am(H) the way,(I) the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus Reveals the Father

“If you know Me, you will also know[d] My Father.(J) From now on you do know Him(K) and have seen Him.”

“Lord,” said Philip,(L) “show us the Father, and that’s enough for us.”

Jesus said to him, “Have I been among you all this time without your knowing Me, Philip? The one who has seen Me has seen the Father.(M) How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me?(N) The words I speak to you I do not speak on My own.(O) The Father who lives in Me does His works.(P) 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me. Otherwise, believe[e] because of the works themselves.(Q)

Praying in Jesus’ Name

12 “I assure you: The one who believes in Me(R) will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these,(S) because I am going to the Father.(T) 13 Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified(U) in the Son.(V) 14 If you ask Me[f] anything in My name,(W) I will do it.[g](X)
