  1. Exhortation to Uprightness

    Love righteousness, you rulers of the earth, think of the Lord with uprightness, and seek him with sincerity of heart;
  2. Because the Spirit of the Lord has filled the world, and that which holds all things together knows what is said;
  3. For inquiry will be made into the counsels of an ungodly man, and a report of his words will come to the Lord, to convict him of his lawless deeds;
  4. He professes to have knowledge of God, and calls himself a child of the Lord.

  12. The Reward of the Righteous

    But the righteous live for ever, and their reward is with the Lord; the Most High takes care of them.

  23. For when they heard that through their own punishments the righteous had received benefit, they perceived it was the Lord’s doing.
  24. Thou sparest all things, for they are thine, O Lord who lovest the living.
  25. Therefore thou dost correct little by little those who trespass, and dost remind and warn them of the things wherein they sin, that they may be freed from wickedness and put their trust in thee, O Lord.
