  1. To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

  20. He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
  21. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
  22. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
  23. The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
  24. The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
  25. The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
