  9. God’s Law Cannot Be Changed

    The Pharisees were listening to all these things. They criticized Jesus because they all loved money.
  10. Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life.
  11. But I know you—I know that you have no love for God.
  12. Jesus said to them, “If God were really your Father, you would love me. I came from God, and now I am here. I did not come by my own authority. God sent me.
  13. They loved praise from people more than praise from God.
  14. The Father himself loves you because you have loved me. And he loves you because you have believed that I came from God.
  15. Simon Peter has told us how God showed his love for the non-Jewish people. For the first time, God accepted them and made them his people.
  16. This letter is to all of you in Rome. God loves you, and he has chosen you to be his holy people. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
  17. And this hope will never disappoint us. We know this because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts through the Holy Spirit he gave us.
  18. But Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and by this God showed how much he loves us.
  19. We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. These are the people God chose, because that was his plan.
  20. God’s Love in Christ Jesus

    So what should we say about this? If God is for us, no one can stand against us. And God is with us.
  21. But in all these troubles we have complete victory through God, who has shown his love for us.
  22. Yes, I am sure that nothing can separate us from God’s love—not death, life, angels, or ruling spirits. I am sure that nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us or nothing below us—nothing in the whole created world—will ever be able to separate us from the love God has shown us in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  23. The Jews refuse to accept the Good News, so they are God’s enemies. This has happened to help you who are not Jews. But they are still God’s chosen people, and he loves them because of the promises he made to their ancestors.
  24. Brothers and sisters, I beg you to help me in my work by praying to God for me. Do this because of our Lord Jesus and the love that the Spirit gives us.
  25. But as the Scriptures say, “No one has ever seen, no one has ever heard, no one has ever imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
